That he is posing for the camera. However, it could have been photoshopped.
It would be really HARD to put binoculars up to your face and not notice caps.
As for the umbrella, having lived near Chicago, I assure you NO umbrella is proof against that. Not even the high wind ones.

Looks like he forgot to take the lens cap off. I do that all the time. This seems a bit petty.

The first photo, I think thank God SOMEBODY is willing to protect our country.......
The second......I think that there are a ton of liberals our there laughing their @sses off with that one! After all, they do believe that even natural disasters are his fault!
