Any kind of fruit sorbet or a nice variety of fruit either plain or in an interesting salad.
Pasta is kind of heavy and while Tiramisu is an awesome dessert and fits right into the Italian theme, it's rich as well and won't be appreciated as much as it should after a heavy meal. Trust me, I served it after a totally Italian dinner party(even the vinegar in the vinaigrette was Italian balsamico), but it didn't go over as well as I'd hoped, though it was delicious. Keep it light.
Depending on what kind of pasta you are serving you could pick any kind of berry sorbet with some berries on the side and a decorative berry puree swirl or a lemon sorbet with raspberry sauce. Looks nice, is easy and won't kill the bank.

I would go for Panna Cotta or Tiramisu both of these recipies are great and so simple. Every time i make Tiramisu there is never any left for me!!!
Panna Cotta
INGREDIENTS:
1 quart (1 liter) cream
1 1/8 cups (250 g) granulated sugar
3 sheets fish glue or unflavored gelatin (check the the packet for how much you will need to thicken this volume)
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
1 cup (250 ml) milk.
PREPARATION:
Warm the milk (don't let it boil), then dissolve the fish glue in it and stir in the flour. Meanwhile, bring the cream to a boil for a couple of minutes, with 1 cup of the sugar. Remove from the fire and gently stir in the milk mixture.
Caramelize the remaining sugar and coat the insides of 8 individual-portion custard cups.
Fill them with the cream mixture, and chill for 2 hours before serving.
Unmold them onto pretty plates when you serve them.
This is the basic recipe; they suggest making a sauce with fresh red & black currants, blueberries, and wild strawberries. Combine them (the amounts are up to you) with a tablespoon of currant jelly and gently warm them over the fire till the fruit is cooked and begins to come apart.
Spoon a bit of sauce over each serving.
Tiramisu
Ingredients
MASCARPONE CHEESE, 18 oz.
HEAVY CREAM, 3 cups
CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR, 2 tbs
DARK RUM, 4 tbs
ESPRESSO, 4 tbs
VANILLA EXTRACT, 1 tbs
IMPORTED LADYFINGER COOKIES, 60
Directions
Press the mascarpone through a wire sieve into a mixing bowl.
Add the heavy cream and confectioners' sugar, 2 tbsp espresso, 2 tbs. rum and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Soak the ladyfingers in the remaining espresso and rum mixture and layer on the bottom of a 9-inch-by-13-inch mold.
Spoon over half of the cream mixture, then layer the rest of the soaked ladyfingers; top off with remaining cream mixture.
Let rest in refrigerator for a few hours before cutting.

ok, so not each and absolutely everyone like tiramisu all that a lot! You did not say what type of pasta you've been pondering making, and some dishes are particularly user-friendly and can want to address a richer dessert. the guideline, in spite of the reality that, is the heavier and richer the meal, the lighter the dessert. if you're having a lighter pasta, alongside with Pesto, or Ravioli in Marinara, then you could destroy out with something somewhat heavier and richer. listed less than are a number of my favorites that I serve with pasta: one million. Vanilla Ice cream with Kahlua poured over it and skinny sugar wafers. 2. A dessert parfait made up of eagle style milk, one million/4 cup lemon juice, one million tsp vanilla, one million tsp almond extract, one million field of whipping cream. upload extracts to whipped cream and beat till peaks type. upload lemon juice to Eagle style milk and stir till thickened. upload cream to exploit blend and fold. on your parfaits, position custard blend, 2 T raspberry pie filling, and repeat till you've pie filling. appropriate with extra whipped cream and chocolate shavings if wanted. 3. Angel nutrition Cake with sparkling Strawberries and Chocolate Syrup genuinely, the record is going on, yet those are my concentrated visitor's favorites.

I would go with sorbet. I suggest lemon or maybe something exotic like mango. But then it all depends on what kind of pasta you're having. If something with red sauce I'd go with a citrus or an exotic fruit. If something in a white sauce such as alfredo I'd go for maybe strawberry or peach.

Tiramisu, but it's kind of heavy. Pasta is a heavy meal, so go for something light. Gelato is italian ice cream you can usually buy it in a grocery store. It's nice and light.

A fruit parfait with a little dab of whipped cream on top. It will clean your palate and is also healthy for you.
