People who mock or insult others do so because of ignorance or a lack of self-confidence. In some cases (on this site), people are just trying to put a little humor into their day. I tormented a Yahoo!Answers memeber yesterday for asking why all people on this site were stupid and he spelled the word people wrong. I wasn't trying to mean, but simply point out the irony of mispelling a word in a question about stupidity. I have had people call me names on this site for asking a question. I also had someone tell me to stop using my hand and get a girlfriend when I asked a computer repair question. I don't know what that had to do with computer repair, but I'm a heterosexual female, so I REALLY don't want a girlfriend.

Here's the deal...

When you ask for peoples opinions... sometimes you're going to get opinions you don't like.

It's the old "take the good with the bad" philosophy of LIFE... it's not JUST HERE... it's all pervasive.

Sometimes a SMART MOUTHED comment is in perfect order.

Like when a young person says "I'm BORED". In a case like that I feel DUTY BOUND to tell them HOW STUPID they look. (Just like I feel duty bound to tell someone they have a booger hanging off their nose).... Since... in the previous case... To be so NON-CREATIVE as to not be able to entertain yourself, in a world full of new and interesting things to do... Is TRAGIC.

A person like that DESERVES a smart-mouthed answer. If for no reason to WAKE THEM UP.

Stupid questions like, "Should I disobey my parents and get a bellybutton ring? I'm 16" SCREAM rude-answer time.

Other examples:
-Should I detsroy someone's car?
-Should I get back with my cheating girl/boyfriend?
-I'm sooooo depressed over the Nick/Jessica breakup. What should I do?
-Who is the better mucisian, Aly of A.J.?
-I want to do heroin; should I?
-What are the benefits of dropping out of high school?

Stupid people+stupid questions=rude answers to show them they are stupid and should try to better themselves.

They are usually too stupid to come to this realization, but we all have an obligation to step in somewhere.

The important thing is to follow up the rude answer with a constructive comment. Example:

Q: I want to drop out of high school; should I?
A: What are you, retarded? YOu better like flipping burgers, because that's all you'll be doing if you drop out. Instead, look into a career training program through your school for trades like Electrician or Seamstress. That way you'll be able to not have to do all the academic stuff, graduate high school and be able to make decent money once you're out of high school.

Sometimes people need to hear that they are being stupid. Half the questions asked on here are for shock value alone. What would you say to a 14 year old girl who asks I've just had an abortion and I'm still having unprotected sex could I be pregnant again?

People are getting very rude all the more as this system goes on. All they care about is themselves. Jesus said we should put others before ourselves. Don't you wish all people would do that? An honest question deserves an honest reply. No one should make fun of that.

Not from me hopefully do not do that. Noticed that many on here get rude and they themselves need to get alife.
however there are a few who post questions just to get some rude answers they seem to enjoy being treated that way and DO NEED TO GET A LIFE,

Only if the question warrants a smart-mouth answer. Otherwise; you'll get a straight one from me.

when some people are they asking to be noticed in the crowd it's not them because they are not aware of that it's their ego rattling like snake cobra to sting and in hiding picking up fruits of des-respecting somenes wrights to life ;which is great force and the best teacher of our actions.but br aware that is going come back to this person ane way or other this law of universe.so love yourself and don't be concerns of others actions god loves you and sometimes will push yuor buttons so you can go forward, bless you

Yes, I know - that's how this site seems to work at times! I am with you on this one!

I'm actually here to help people, not hurt them by being insensitive.

If I think a question is "dumb", I just ignore it and not bother to give them my opinion. That way, I'm not hurting any feelings!
