Because you are unsure of yourself. You lack confidence and to gain confidence you need to be around the opposite sex more often, find out what they like, what they talk about... So ask your friends that are girls, ask sisters... ask girls in general about things they like to talk about. Once you know, you can easily keep a conversation going, and that is IMPORTANT if you are trying to get a girlfriend. Good Luck.

Maybe because you not as comfortable as you should be. try being your self and you'll find that girls really dig a for real guy. Try being a friend first and then a boyfriend. You'll find that when you just try being the friend it's a easier start to long relationship.
