Give this one a try. It's a genealogy site and is much more specific to the family history of LeQuier than the others:
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?surname=lequier&given=
You have to click on the individual names and icons to see the family tree data. There's a slim possibility that your grandfather and his brother Joe or their relatives are in there.
You can add more info to your seearch at the bottom of the page. For example, your grandfather's first name, his brother Joe's name, or some info about where they live and died.
Also, go to the home page of this site and type LeQuier in the left hand search fields. You'll get other results besides the trees.
I'll do a little more looking and add anything I find to this response.
BTW, you might want to add details to your question that would help us in our searches - such as your grandfather's first name, your grandemother's name, any relatives of brother Joe, where they lived, worked, died (hope not, but if either of them did, tell us where). Add dates to any info you can.
In the meantime... Good luck!
Ooops! Sorry, didn't see the Michigan/Canada info. I'll give that a try too.
UPDATE: The social security death index on the same site has entries for two Joseph LEQUIER's who died in Michigan. Here they are. The info includes birth date, death date, ss number, where died, where card was issued, etc:
JOSEPH H LEQUIER 05 Jul 192821 May 199548647 (Mio, Oscoda, MI)(none specified)374-24-1062Michigan
JOSEPH A LEQUIER 22 Jan 190029 Jan 199048067 (Royal Oak, Oakland, MI)(none specified)375-05-1458Michigan
Maybe your grandfather is there too? Anyway, here's alink directly to the page:
http://ssdi.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi?lastname=lequier&firstname=&nt=exact
You can do these searches yourself by going to
http://www.rootsweb.com/
and entering names in the left hand side of the page. The right hand side will take you to a pay site. The left side is free!
I'm going back to see if I can find anything else.
ANOTHER UPDATE:
Here's a land record for Joseph LEQUIER in Minnesota. If he were the father of the other two Joseph's, the timeline matches (at least).
LEQUIER, JOSEPH 30 Dec 1902 80.0000 t:144 N r:42 W s:28 MN

I'm going back for more!
ANOTHER UPDATE
This is getting complicated. Going further back in time, I am finding alternate spellings for the name. Here they are:
LEQUIER (yours), LECUYER, L'ESCUYER, LECOURS
If any of the last three turn out to be true, this family may be French-Canadian. If that is the case, it's right up my alley. My hobby is French-Canadian genealogy.
So: am I anywhere near close with those Josepg LEQUIER's I found?
If so, do you want me to keep trying? NOTE: this is a HOBBY, not a business for me. I do a few families here and there, but only one or two at a time. Try contacting me via my Answers profile. I'm interested in this lineage.
ANOTHER UPDATE:
Here's a census record from the LDS site. This Joseph LEQUIER was born in Canada (probably Quebec). This could be the guy (or his relative) who bought that land in MN. If this is your family, things are looking up!

PS: "LAQUERRE" is another possibility for the name spelling.
Keep on truckin'!
YOUR GRANDFATHER? Sorry, didn't see this on the Rootsweb site. Is this your grandfather's social security death record?
