Wow..some truly brilliant answers.
The books of the bible I believe were chosen or aggreed upon by the founders of the church (council of nicea?). The culmination of the bible are the books chosen. That being said, there are also other books, such as found in the gnostic (did I spell that right) that were excluded because the church leaders at that time felt were heretic of not right. Some of these books deal with the life of Jesus between childhood and when he began evangelizing.
The bible is what it is...but most accepted bibles do not infer that Jesus wanted us to follow the old testament, or to write down and remember everything he did. More like obey the comandments and Gods law.
I would question some recently found books that purport to be the book of Judas or other such...because if you believe in the Lord then you must know that the greatest lie ever comitted was lucifer convincing the world that he doesnt exist. Any new "books" may be deceitful if they teach contrary to Gods law, and they may tempt persons to stray.
Does this help?

no bible is not complete. bible was written after the death of jesus-pbuh. the chapter of mark was written in 66 AD and the chapter of matthew by 120 AD. with the years the bible was complete. BUT BIBLE IS A WORD OF GOD.
in the year 100 AD, by then many gospels had been written but the church decided that they would be selective about the gospels. and some of the chapters and gospels were rejected and destroyed. but in 354 AD, Costantine, revised the Bible yet again, and it was he who changed the birthday of jesus-pbuh to 25th dec.
also with time there were instances, say for example renaisannce, 14th century revolution, where bible was yet again revoulsionised and changed by the church. thus the authenticity of the Bible was lost in due time.
u are also a winess that many rules from the OT were modified and NT came into practise. but i would like an answer, who has given man the right and authority to change the word of God?and how come none questions this?
Allah bears witness that i beleive in jesus-pbuh as my messenger, follow his teachings and beleive in this bible that was revealed to jesus-pbuh and have high regards for him just like the rest of my 1,23,000 prophets of islam.
may the peace and blessings of Allah be with us and may He guide us on the right path.

The Bible we have is complete.
However, Daniel wrote more that is hidden away, and will be used in the future new earth.
ASV
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Dan 12:3 And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end.

Of course it's not complete! The Catholic dhurch decided which books would or would not be included in the Bible hundreds of years ago. Do some research, you'll find this is true.

The Bible is complete. In fact, it says in Revelation that woe to anyone that adds or detracts from the message given in the Bible. We don't need "extra" religious books to try and out think the theme of the Bible. ( a TRUE Christian in word and deed, not in just name only)

The bible at its best is an important historical book - it is a historical book however that religious sects have from the very earliest opportunity restricted to accommodate a biased taste - they did this initially by leaving out of its binders many important documents and authors and their hollow claim that God instructed them is as misguided as a serial killer claiming that God told him to commit his crimes. These same sort biased minds have since rewritten and reinterpreted virtually every page, in particular, the new testament - this is book-burning in all but name for the end result is a limited and distorted account of history. As to your sectarian and highly biased request regarding my personal religious beliefs all I am prepared to say is "get thee behind me Satan"!
