I had fluid in my ear earlier this summer it lasted for about 3 days, was driving me crazy, even made me a little dizzy a few times. I got rid of it when I was at a friends house he had an inversion table, I got on the table just to try it out, and the fluid came out of my ear when I did it for only about a minute. Give it a try, even if you just do a hand or head stand.
Good luck!

Try putting some rubbing alcohol in the ear canal--that works if it's something like swimmer's ear. Have the person leave the alcohol in the ear canal for a minute or so before draining it--then the fluid should come out as long as it is still somewhat superficial and has not become an infection.

All the other answers are good but try using a ear wash from the pharmacy. Wax build up can really cause bad ear aches and hurt your ear drum too. If that doesn't work, go to your doctor and have it taken out and he can see if it is infected too. Mine says I get a lot of build up cause I am a smoker. Do you smoke?
