What would you think if your vehicle was recovererd the day after it was reported stolen and the investigating agency said you could pick it up. When you entered the van (your home) all your personal paperwork was gone again, along with your stereo, amplifier, ice chest etc., However, there on the floor, was a bloody ballpin hammer, which was obviously the weapon used by your attacker. This person also deficated on the floor in front on the driver's side. How would you respond? Wouldn't the PD have taken prints or DNA after the tow yard reported having found it. Especially when it was quite apparent that this was obviously a violent crime scene involving some KOO KOO? Or do they just investigate when a murder is committed?

I would feel violated. I would report the damage, the stolen papers and other items and point out to the police the bloody hammer and ask them what they want to do about this? If you don't get a response you like from just a police officer, ask if he/she would please call their supervisor (it should be a lt or higher) to come and see you, because you are not satisfied. I have a friend whose grill was damaged and it seems that when this was reported the police said it was only some kids playing pranks. THose kids playing pranks then threw a huge rock through someone else's plate glass window while their child was playing nearby inside.

You mention a bloody hammer and stated that it belonged to your attacker. Are you saying that you were hit with the hammer? If not, then the police should have taken the hammer as evidence. Even if they don't do a DNA test on it now, it should be preserved for when they find a body. They could have already determined that whatever was on the hammer wasn't blood.
The fecal matter left in the vehicle is vandalism. It doesn't even directly tie the previous owner of the poo to the vehicle as it could have been collected from somewhere else and deposited on the floor of your van.
The items that were stolen from you van should be supplementally included in the initial stolen vehicle report.
A finger print lift would be pointless. The few areas in and on the vehicle that can hold a print will be so plastered with prints on the inside (you did mention that it was your home) and useless on the outside due to weather/environmental deterioration, that no discernible prints would likely be recovered.
Unless the inside of your van was spattered or pooled with blood, then the van wasn't the scene of a violent crime, but rather a place to drop the hammer.

Do cons ever ask genuine questions that must be resolved with the aid of debate? Or, do they only conceal Obama bashing as questions? jointly with: isn't Obama the worst President ever? are you able to have confidence how stupid Obama is? And, now Does Obama ever tell the certainty? in addition, you have to be sure questions approximately Bush with a similar result: became into Bush the worst President in historic previous? Why did Bush lie lots? My component is that that may not a real question. it relatively is a rant. wreck it right down to smaller factors, cite examples of person subject concerns and initiate a debate. as an occasion, you ought to declare: the former day, Obama stated X approximately subject Y. yet, then he did something else. What became into his motivation? with out making a component, your question is pointless. Sorry.

There's only evidence of vandalism and theft. It would be too difficult to associate another crime with your car, especially if nothing was reported. The amount of cases involving violent crime is too high in most major areas. Each officer is usually dealing with a variety of cases which makes it difficult to be aware of everything that goes on in the city.

Did you report it as attack crime and burglary, or just a theft?
You have to report those as separate crimes to the officers. Officers don't assume what happened. If you just said, "My van was stolen." That's all they'll report. Different departments conduct different investigations.
I'd go back and to the Police to talk to an officer with the assault division.

when a vehicle is recovered, it goes to an impund lot. everydetail of the vehicle must be documented with a complete inventory. i'm having difficulty believing that a law enforcement agency would overlook such dramaitc details unless this is some backwoods agency.

The police in your place are idiots. They should have investigated deeper into the case of the stolen van. Whether there are other foulplay involved.
