In the 60s there seemed to be cloud come down and engulf the Earth with a spirit of freedom and partying. Many people had spiritual experiences from phycidelic drugs. Was that era an act of God or was it a demonic envasion.

Yes I did experience it and today I have been drug free for over 20 years and I am totally happy in my relationship with TRUTH or God as we have come to know Him.
It was a totally spiritual experience for me and one hellava test. smiles

To answer your question, NO, in the 60's even now, this planet is in a demonic invasion, you just have different drugs today to make somebody high. I am not talking about prescription medicines, but illegal stuff. I was born in 1949, so the late 50's & the 60's was my days, even though at that time, I was not a Christian until 1970. I feel like God kept me away from things like LSD, & All illegal drugs, I did drink Vodka a lot in the late 60"s & I did get it illegal since I was not 21, but in 1970 God took all that away from me. You have a good day.

I loved the 60's in the respect here in the States that brotherly love was the main objective among the 'hippie' and Christian communities. It was also a time of sadness and despair 'Vietnam', and the treatment of the military personal that were persecuted by the public and disowned by the government.
So on that note...I don't know about spiritual for me, but it's an era I greatly miss.
Keep on keepin' on Bro!...Born-Again baby boomer here.

Neither. It was mostly environmental. People were discovering new things, escaping the harsh images they were exposed to (war, protests, riots, police force) The nation was being ripped apart. All these new possibilities were suddenly presented and people indulged. People stood for what they believed in. People stood together. Most got sick of society altogether and tuned in, turned on and dropped out. And they wanted to form a new society. One of peace, love, and acceptance. I long for a return of an era like that.

It was the dawning of the New Age Religions. The Age of Aquarius they called it. Our generation is still being pulled into it. It was certainly not from God.

The things that went on sure wasn't holy Mister.
Might have been spiritual, but sure was not divine.
What's really shameful is the US governments guilt in spreading acid and getting all this started.
