pbuh means peace be upon him muslims are not supposed to say the prophets name without adding that to the end, some others write saw which means the same thing but in arabic.
What has the no. 786 got to do with Islam? Is it some holy no.?
The number 786 is the number of god and the number 666 is the number of the devil.
Y is ur veil black in colour?

There is no reason for the veil being black it just is you dont have to wear a black veil in islam ifact more and more muslims are begining to wear different coloured ones which have nice designs on them. However when you go to Hajj it is then that you have to wear either black or white this is because in Hajj no one should be seen us unequal everyone has to dress the same live in the same conditions etc.
Hope it helped! : )

Salam. PBUH means - Peace Be Upon Him. Another abbreviation is SWT - SallallahuAlaihiWasallam, mostly used when the target readers comprehend Arabic.
786 is not a holy number. It might be based on some cultural believe but it is not considered as a holy number by the mainstream Muslim majority who followed the Quran and The Holy Prophet (pbuh). Islam do not have the concept of holy number although we do acknowledge that Allah prefers odd numbers particularly 3 and 7 - which we integrate into our daily lives for example, washing the face three times during ablution-but it is not holy.
Black is considered the most unattractive colour and since Muslims are encouraged to be modest and non-extravagant, it is opted by most Muslims to shun from unnecessary attention especially for the ladies. Green is considered as a Muslim colour because it was used to represent Muslims identity during the time of the Prophet (pbuh) and it is in that sense that you might have witnessed the Holy Quran being kept in it, but again that is a personal choice and not mandatory.
The only required etiqutte for keeping the Holy Quran is at high places away from physical abuse or unnecessary contact from unclean items. The keeping in green cloth is just a step further as a sign of respect to the Book :)

Thank you for your question!
PBUH= Peace Be Upon Him
In Arabic= Salah Allah Aleyhe Wa Salam (for Mohammad PBUH) and Alayhe Al Salat Wa Al Salam (for all the other prophets)
It's out of respect and in Islam we respect ALL prophets not just Mohammad (PBUH)!
Is a phrase that Muslims are required to say after mentioning the name of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, Jesus Christ, Abraham and all the other prophets cited in the Qur'an.
"Send the Salat on Allah's messengers and prophets for Allah sent them as He sent me."
"The Messenger of Allah said: Whoever sends one salah upon me, Allah will send ten upon him."
"One morning the Messenger of Allah was in a cheerful mood and looked happy. They said, 'Oh Messenger of Allah, this morning you are in a cheerful mood and look happy.' He said, Of course, just now someone [an angel] came to me from my Lord [Allah] and said, 'Whoever among your Ummah sends Salah upon you, Allah will record for him ten good deeds and will erase for him ten evil deeds, and will raise his status by ten degrees, and will return his greeting with something similar to it.'"
Out of respect, a Muslim says that whether it's in writing or in spoken words! I say it in my heart/mind when I read his name, but I say it in a whisper when someone else mentions his name!

The Arabic letters of the opening phrase of the Qur'an (the Basmala phrase Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim "In the name of God, the Compassionate and Merciful") sum to the numerical value 786 in the system of Abjad numerals. Not all Muslims place emphasis on this numerological analysis, but some Muslims in South Asia use the number 786 as an Islamic symbol, and some Muslim scholars and groups (such as the "Qur'an-only" Submitters) consider it to be religiously significant.
There have been various speculations about the mystical or religious significance of 786 in Islam for centuries. There is a famous poem praising Allah, titled Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim, which has exactly 786 letters. Some have argued that 786 is the number of days in which Allah created the world or the number of days in which Muhammad conquered the pagans of Mecca.

And as for the veil question, there are many styles and ways of wearing them! Color is just a personal choice! Sometimes it depends on traditions as well! For example in the Gulf Countries, Black is the most common color. But it really goes back to personal choice! Some women choose to wear colors, patterns (floral, striped, Tye-dye!)!
Here are some pics! Please look at each picture and see the different colors and styles!
