Curtis Cokes vs. Pipino Cuevas who wins?

This would be an exciting contest between two very tough fighters. I believe that Cokes had a slight edge in boxing ability and Cuevas has a big edge in punching power. I believe that Cokes would do well early on using his jab and keeping Cuevas at bay but about the 9th round Cuevas would catch him with a devastating left hook with Cokes struggling to his feet and the referee stopping the fight.

This would have been a good fight, but I'd have to go with the thought that Pipino was the harder puncher of the two especially with his devastating left hook. Curtis fought in the era where there weren't too many bums, he fought everyone he could but you have to take into consideration that Jose` Napoles considered the best at that time stopped him twice so did Charlie Snipes and these were KNOCKOUTS not the referee stopping the contest. I believe that Nino Benvenuti also gave him a lopsided beating. Pipino had his share of losses too don't get me wrong, Hearns demolished him but he never took quite the punishment Cokes did.

Cokes was a pretty good boxer so he would have been able to hold Cuevas off until the later rds. Cuevas in a 10 rd KO over Cokes.
