I genuinely need your help. I would like to surprise my boyfriend with a homemade dinner. Unfortunately, he likes plain food and would not be impressed with rich sauces. Ideally, quick, easy to cook and as tasty as possible oh and no complicated recipes.
He deserves it as he is good to me . Cheers

It'll sound stupid, and odd, but it's good. Make 1" meatballs- One pound burger, and half pound of bulk type breakfast sausage, with some chopped onion. Broil until browned, or can just bake at 350degrees, for 45 minutes. Pull, the pan out, and drain off the fat from sausage. Now, it gets weird. One can cranberry jelly, and a 12oz bottle of chili sauce. Dump both into bowl, and mix. Takes about 3 minutes, with a fork. Pour the mix on the meatballs. Put back in oven at 300, for 35 minutes. Tastes like it's sweet and sour meatballs. Also, bake potatoes in oven while doing meatballs. Any colorful veg goes good.

Grill some boneless chicken breast (beaten down and spiced with whatever you like) in olive oil, onions, and minced garlic (powder is ok). Cooke 25 minutes, turning at least twice.

Add Healthy Request cream of chicken soup, and let simmer for 15 minutes, covered.

While that is cooking, cook a few pasta noodles that you like and of course that he likes.

Put the breasts and soup over the noodles.

You could add any sort of veggies on the side, green peas being the easiest and a cold salad, too, if he likes that.

I'm making one of my hubby's favorite comfort foods. He says it's the perfect replica of his mom's baked bean dish, and since it has meat, he'll eat it as a main course. 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 red onion, chopped 1/2 green pepper, chopped 2 (15 oz) cans pork and beans, drained 1/2 cup ketchup 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 Tbsp. Dijon Fry up the beef, onions, and green pepper. Add everything else. Heat through. Place in a dish and bake for about 20 minutes at 375F. Or you can just simmer it for 15 minutes on the stove top.

Nice spagetti and meatballs. Or maybe a nice steak and potato dinner. I like your man don't go for all the fancy stuff and prefer a simple meal. My lady once made me cream peas on toast, and although it sounds pretty basic it was one of the best meals I'd had in a long time as it brought back memories of my youth when my granny used to make it. Best of luck on preparing a good, healthy meal for your mate.

Just put two potatoes in the oven and leave them for about a hour or till the skin has gone crispy, then split in half and fill with butter and cheese.
How could he resist that and open a bottle off vodka or bacardi.
