Old remedy for warts: take an aspirin an wet it, put a small amount of the wet (pastey) aspirin on the ward, cover with a moist band aid. If you do this every day for about 10 days, the wart will come off. Aspirin is sela-salicylic acid, and that's what is in wart remover. Just think, if aspriin can eat a hole in your stomach (if you don't take it with food), it can eat off the skin on a wart. I use to use this with my kids and it worked every time and was not painful at all.

Dr. Scholl's "freeze away wart remover" costs approx. $25.00 depending on where you buy it. And it truly does work! I had a plantar wart on the side of my hand for about 6 years so it was pretty deep. The first application, I hadn't read the instructions correctly so it didn't work. My son explained how to use it and it was totally gone in just over a week, and no scar either! After you apply it.leave it alone. It will blister just leave it alone and let it do it's job!

If you have not gone to www.mayoclinic.com and checked out their suggestions for treatment, you may wish to do so.

The one that startled me was duct tape. It supposedly works.

My sister has been fighting persistent plantar warts for over 2.5 years. No fun.

I don't know if yeast (candida) has anything to do with it, because what I have read warts are from HPV, but I'd bet they work together.

For basic information on the systemic yeast syndrome, check out the link on the Welcome page of www.hufa.org.
