I click on your questions because I'm always interested in them after having been here for a while. I went ahead and looked at 2 John 1:9 in my Nelson Study Bible, because I think you asked about it the other day as well. Here's what the notes said about the verse:
"Transgresses has the strong sense of running too far ahead, going too far. This is probably an allusion to all the Gnostics who considered themselves as having advanced beyond basic Christianity. Departure from Christ into doctrinal error indicates that person does not have God."
I would take this to mean that anyone who deviates from the teachings of Christ in any way are not aligned with God, meaning that certain denominations calling themselves Christians would fit into this category(I've never really done research on any denominations, just going by what I've heard).
I'll also tell you, as I believe I may have done in an answer to another question, that your questions make me want to go to Bible school and study more, as well as study in depth other religions. I had a brief interest in world religions when I was about fifteen thanks to a history teacher I had, but I never pursued it.
I also enjoy the FSM questions, because I just love the way 'Noodly Appendage' sounds :)

I clicked on your question because I am curious about what you would ask.
II John 1:9 means that we should be aware of false believers in the Church; those that come into the Church and do not believe or confess the deity of Jesus Christ. And if we depart from what the Bible says then we are indeed not part of the Church.

I clicked on this question for two reasons.
1. I obtained a degree in Philosophy and Religion about 15 years ago. All my life I have looked for the answers to the three most important questions:
What is truth?
What is knowledge?
What is a proper guide for human actions?
All of philosophy can be placed, ultimately, into one of these three categories. Religion seeks answers for all three outside of logic, semantics, and semiotics. You can't change the opinion of those who have seen the face of God, nor can you change the opinion of those who deny God.
And remember: no judgment here. A person's soul is his or her own. God and I have an understanding: I don't bother him, and he doesn't bother me.
2. Nice picture.

mo·ti·vate ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mt-vt)
tr.v. mo·ti·vat·ed, mo·ti·vat·ing, mo·ti·vates
To provide with an incentive; move to action; impel.
In all of us drives the notion of intelligence. Religion roots in all of us. This has failed mankind. Though as motivation presses forward what are we really searching for? I say nothing. Is nothing what we want? I say everything. is Everything what we want? My motivation is to share a truth as I find myself to differ from the flock. Have I wondered of or has the flock? You are not an idiot but an Icon, you need only yourself and you hold the keys as you now have heard a truth a simple truth.

Click on question to obtain and share great knowledge.
Matrix...That which contains and gives shape or form to anything.
2 John 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Not a Bible thumber, but I think this describes those who go to far in their teaching.

I click on anybody who is looking for the truth. I click on seekers, searchers, wonderers, wanderers, thinkers, they're all looking for some kind of truth. I do it because I like trying to understand these people, and in turn understand myself. The motive appears totally selfish, but at the same time I'm always wishing I could give someone like this some kind of help, but what could I possibly say that WOULD help? I'm still lookig for the truth, cause no human ever gave it to me.

I'm clicking on the question because I am interested in what you have to say. It may or may not agree with my view and that in and of itself is not the point. The point is that each of us has value in our thoughts and opinions and sharing them opens us up to both admiration and criticism. And even so, we still share thoughts and feelings and that makes it worthwhile.

I am clicking to find out what your question is. Intending to know if I would have something to share or not. Unknown to me you would come up with this tirade (so to speak) of bruhaha. "Well I am sure you will enjoy every bit of answers you will get."
