For every action there will be equal and opposite reaction. Can it be proved in a philosophical way?

We can find this rule applicable in every situation and every field.
If we are kind, friendly and helpful to others, people like us and they too will be good and kind with us. even they help us when we are in need and vice versa. when we are bad with others, we get a same kind of reaction in return for us.

Action and reaction pair is everywhere :
If we worked hard, we get good results.
If we are lazy, we lose opportunites or face problems.
If we are careful, we are safe.
If we are reckless, we are more open to face danger
Our good deeds get us good name and bad deeds get a negative reply.

We can never escape the effects of our thoughts, actions and deeds. We get them in return for us, sooner or later.
When we do a good deed, we get it back somewhere and by someone or other and if we do bad to someone, even we face the same situation with ourselves from somebody or the other

So, Action and reaction is the basic Law of Nature and it never fails. It may take time to get the reaction in some cases, like some slow reactions in chemistry :-) but it does comes, sooner or later !

P.S. I have seen hundreds of such instances in my life. So, i believe in it completely !

If you call somebody RASCAL and he reacts in the same way it is not only ACTION and REACTION but is the begining of a chain reaction.

When we do something from this list the action is actually against ourself to our sub-concious(not to the one we think we are acting to). The action is stored internally within ourself and from that moment onwards we are fearfull of the reaction and restlessly waiting for the reaction. But the sub-concious not having any commonsense may react at any time. may or may not affect us depending on our mental strength. I mean some neglect it, but a few react to this reaction and a chain of actions and reactions again and again. Final product may be the "MADNESS"
The same MADNESS which leads the present world
MADNESS for
Possessions,
Money and
Position.

hey buddy i think v r share same interests!i too m confused bout the spiritual rules of nature.anyways here goes ur ans.
accordin to hindu mythology, 4 every act u do,thr has to be some reaction.this reaction may not b direct,it can cm in many forms and phases.
again accordin to hindu mythology,if u cause pain to a person , tht pain cms back to u in any way and not necessarily by the same person.some even say if do not pay 4 ur KARMA in this birth it may even strike u in the next life!
so here u go!thts wht the scriptures say tht 4 every action tht takes place in this world thr is an equal reaction,i.e. mythologically and spiritually.<4 further details u can always refer to karmayoga chapter of bhagvat gita!>

When you do something bad or cruel to someone, the opposite of that is that eventually something will happen to you (not somethinng good) (what goes around comes around, or the boomerang effect)

When you plot something against someone else to benefit yourself in some way, such as lying about them or doing something to them, the result is that it backfires and something negative happens as a result to you.
