It could be two things.
1) You have a minor allergy to the rubber/latex that the glove was made of (less likely since this type of allergy results in anaphalactic shock which has rapid onset)
or
2) You are alergic to the drying agent that rubber gloves use to keep them from deteriorating in the packaging.
I would suggest consulting your health care provider and asking for an alergy "scratch" test to determine what it is since there are a variety of drying agents used in gloves today and identifying the specific one will prevent this from happening again.

Where they "rubber" gloves? Sounds like you might have a latex allergy. It's a big deal and you need to find out so that you can let doctors know in the future.

Do you work in the food-industry? If they were latex gloves then yes you experienced an allergic reaction to them. It's more common than a lot of people think.
