I am not speaking of monetary debts but debts of love and friendship. One day it will be said of all of us,"He has died" or "She has died" and we will not get the chance to forgive, to ask forgiveness from those we have offended or to show our love. Why not do it today?
Peace Be With You,
Debra

I am not asking about details. I am only trying to brighten your day and perhaps remind us all what matters.

I want to add that if I have offended ANYONE in any way. I am sorry and ask your forgiveness. I forgive anyone here who may have upset me. I feel I owe this after yesterdays posts.

Debra you are a good person and always brighten my day. And like the rest I'm imperfect and yes I likely do have some and that does need to be rectified.

As usual I always love your questions. There is a way of life for anyone who has ever been in a twelve step program and there are some steps that require you to do a searching and fearless moral inventory. another requires you to give it someone. There is one that asks you to make a list of all you have wronged and one that asks you to make an amends to them all. An amends does not mean just saying your sorry, it means changing your behavior. This is a really through way of rigthing the wrongs we have done in our life. I agree forgiviness is really important and also forgiving yourself and moving on. These steps work whether you have a drinking problem or have been affected by one who has as is in my case or you just want to get to know yourself better in a spiritual and meaningful way. I for one want to think that if i died I would be remembered for good things and not things i wished I never said or did. peace.

just in the last year i have made peace with myself in many ways
forgiven some that needed it , forgiven myself for acts i have done , told people i loved them , which i never used to be able to do
and the weight that has come off has been amazing
so now i have gotten into the practise of this
never letting anything go by without dealing with it and how it affects me
forgiving whats needs it , loving people unconditionally ... i don't want to carry weight around any more
it's soooooo good

I understand where you're coming from, But you shouldn't worry so much about offending people.

You'll always find people that are offended, but those are the kind of people that despise The Lord, and aren't much worth associating with.

Worry less about offending the atheists and continue to enlighten people about The Lord as you see fit.

perhaps for most of us, we may leave with some debts and unforgiving behind, perhaps not realizing it, if I do, especially the ones I hold close in heart, I would come back in spirit and tell them I am OK and that I love them, and I'll be waiting for that joy full day.
