Jews don't think he was a Prophet, the Messiah and definitely not a god.

I'm Jewish and I've studied with several rabbis from different synagogues, so I think I have a general idea of the basic view of Jesus. The belief is that 2000 years ago, Jesus lived. We don't see him as the son of God or the messiah. In fact, it's debatable whether he was a positive or negative influence. We don't feel that Jesus is the messiah because the messiah supposedly will:
1. Descended from King David on the father's side.
2. Rebuild the Temple.
3. End all disease.
4. Resurrect the dead.
The messiah cannot have God as a father because God is not descended from David. Also, Jesus has not done the other 3 things. We believe in a messiah, but Jesus doesn't fit the description.
By the way, contrary to what everyone else says, JESUS ISN'T A PROPHET IN JUDAISM. Jesus' name isn't mentioned in any Jewish text. (When the Christians formed their own religion, they "fixed" inconsistancies from the Old Testament.)

For the record - Jesus was a messenger and by no means does that negate Jesus as Son of God. Even Kings have sent their sons as messengers in representation of the King and his authority.
The Jews believe Jesus was a prophet - again -Jesus was a prophet. Do they believe he was the son of God? No - unless they are Messianic Jews, they do not. Only Messianic Jews believe Jesus is the Son of God.

I do not know what Jews believe about Christ. I think they see Jesus Christ as just another prophet. They are still waiting for the messiah to come and deliver Israel from its enemies. They are expecting the coming of a deliverer in pomp and circumstance behind an army of thousands.
That may be a long wait.

Jews believe much like you do. They consider him a great man and messenger of God but they don't buy into the whole "immaculate conception" theory.

No they think he was an evil person .
They belive he was a bastard fatherd by a roman soldier named Pantheras, they believe he was a sorcerer who had learnt the craft in Egypt.
These teachings are found in the Talmud and I think they represent the Jewish resistance to the claims of Christ and christianity.
It even says he's in hell.
They are ofcause wrong as are you muslem, even if you have a high regard for him.
BTW He annuonced the false prophets who were to come, anmong them your Muhammed.
Jesus does claim to be divine, just read in the Gospel,

No, they don't. It would be interesting to know what are the various Jewish views of Jesus.
The group "Jews for Jesus" doesn't count; their opinion is obvious and they're really Christians.
