I'm sorry for offending some of u but that is not what I meant to. I am a Catholic convert myself and I must admit prior to my conversion, I lead a life as of the modern age and God is something far off my mind. Simply said, I took my existence for granted. Ijust wanted to pose this question to know if there is any other religion that come close to my question and I'm interest to hear our muslim brethren views as I knew barely about their doctrine. The correct term should be creation rather than evolution. Cheers and God bless :-)

Christians don't seem to able to agree even amongst themselves about the nature of evolution and its status as a theory. So where is the clarity here?

And I suppose that the Christian story about what happens after physical death is in principle easy to understand. But since when can we assume that clarity indicates some degree of validity?

I feel here that old chestnut about the need for certainty. Some people just can't cope with uncertainties or at least they don't want to have to cope.

You obviously like answers that seem to be nice, simple, easy, attractive, appealing and answers that lead you to believe that there is, and will be in the future, absolutely nothing to worry about.

I think that we both reject as irrelevant things that don't contribute to our purposes. My only purpose is to serve God in saving the world by challenging faulty thinking (hence this answer). What are your purposes, what is your highest purpose and how do you serve that higher purpose?

I don't know of any. Some people might claim that the "religion" of modern science and Darwinism does but in my opinions that explanation is far more complicated and takes a faith that goes beyond reason to accept as an explanation for how inanimate matter suddenly became alive all on it's own and without any intelligent force became intelligent human beings and the millions of other complex life forms with myriads of intricate internal organs than does the simple statements of " God said...it was so...it was good!" found in the book of Genesis.

The Vedas (ancient bonefide scripural texts of "Hindus-not" are written and translated for all of humanity!) are a set of very complex and deep cosmological texts. They have been translated and explained by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupad into most languages. There are many simple paperbacks one can read first before one starts with the famous Bhagavad-gita As It Is. See the link below for many other free related Vedic texts. The post-grad level cosmology is found in Srimad Bhagavatam and it is called the "nectar" of all spiritual writings on this planet! Amazing info for the great reawakening of a sleeping humanity! If one reads it sincerely, humbly and submissively, with reverence and asks for genuine understanding, then that can really help too.

Actually yes.look, what exists in chritianity about evolution and apocalypse and resurrection and ... is not completely what God had said.most of it which exists now,is what churches in middle ages has told about evolution and ....
but fairly,Islam has explained more better about resurrection and the other world but all religions has said completely wrong about evolution, esp. human evolution. And the reason is clear, because all religions has been made up and told to people in old times and no one knew about genetics and systems of speciation and evolution God had to explain it this way.

Sorry, not looking for new myths and fairy tales now and that whole "My God is better than your God" crap is too funny. Who would win in a fight, Santa or the Easter Bunny?? Until you can prove a single one of them to be real, the whole point is silly.

I never read anything in Christianity that says humans evolved, they were created. There's different theories of afterlife by other religions, but God Himself told of the afterlife in the Bible.

Islam :

"We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape..."Al Quran (15:26).
And, "He began the creation of man from clay, and made his progeny from a quintessence of fluid" AlQuran (32:7-8)
.
*******************************
"Every soul shall have
A taste of death:
And only on the Day
Of Judgement shall you
Be paid your full recompense.
Only he who is saved
Far from the Fire
And admitted to the Garden
Will have attained
The object (of life):
For the life of this world
Is but goods and chattels
Of deception."
[Al-Qur’an 3:185]

"Those who reject
Our signs, We shall soon
Cast into the Fire;
As often as their skins
Are roasted through,
We shall change them
For fresh skins,
That they may taste
The penalty: for Allah
Is Exalted in Power, Wise"
[Al-Qur’an 4:56]

Unfortunately Christianity has got pretty much everything wrong, including the origins of humans.

They may try but Christianity clearly shows Jesus as being risen and resurrected from the dead and that's that. Nothing more but if we are judged worthy. ''wow what a day that will be".

Yes, but the christians have their own heaven, and if that's what you want, go for it.
That is not my idea of heaven though.
There are better answers than what christianity alone can offer but your probably to far into christianity it would be pointless for me to show the options
