im a big boxing fan and infact its not really dominated by blacks. Russia has great fighters so does many other east European countries. In heavyweight we might see blacks abit more presented. But there are loads of latin people too. Cuba is a great boxing nation so i guess all the people u see from there wud count as black to u 2. Maybe the white people are more into trying those things like ultimate fighting, where you can get really injured.

Russians are dominating boxing now, they hold all the heavyweight titles now. Between the top four title holders they have knocked out over 100 black boxers. Fighting is getting tougher now, same with ultimate fighting it's hard fighting in it, blacks aren't tough enough for it.

Sorry but black no longer dominated boxing, now it's gonna to be Russian and eastern Europe :-D I can't wait for them to take over lighter weight class :-)

Eastern Europe and Russian have alway domination fighting sport of every kind! Look at wrestling, K-1, Pride, etc...

You will see Karelin from Russia in wrestling, he kick everyone ***.

Look at Cikatic from Croatia, he's in mid 50's and still kicking everybody *** in kick boxing and he's still the oldest man to win K-1 tournament to this date.

Look at Karaev from Russia and Ignashov from belarus in K-1 they are some of the best K-1 fighter.

What about Fedor from Ukraine and Mirko Flivipovic from Croatia in Pride? They will tear any black guys from boxing a new one.

Lastly in boxing, look at them! Who is on the top now? The Russian and Eastern Eurpoean!!!!!!!!

Oh and don't worry, we need more Russian and Eastern European in fighting sport, they're much better and nicer person than many many boxers from USA and Mexico. However there's many good black guys in boxing as well, but lately look at some of them....

Oh and boxing used to be dominated by black guys because they live in community with boxing gym and cannot afford other style so they are stick with only one. While white guys tend to live in better area and are able to afford more than one lesson.

I think there are a couple of reasons. First, many of the black boxers reside in inner cities and they get into boxing either as a way out of their environment, or a way to stay out of trouble. Second, there is more money in boxing.

Mixed Martial Arts is a new sport and not as many dojos and places to train in the inner cities. Not as much money to be made. When there is more money and more access, you will see more black athletes competing and winning in mixed martial arts.

It's still a relatively new sport that doesn't pay as well as Boxing (or NBA or NFL)
Once UFC starts paying out better, the blacks will take notice and boot all the white boys out.
