Make a very weak ammonia solution - no more than 10% and DI water. Use a soft bristle brush - a fine hair paint brush will work. Most commercial jewelry cleaners if you look at them Ammonia is the active ingredient with a little soap. The ammonia solution will strip the oil build up off and leave the diamond very shiny. Make sure you rinse it well before allowing it to be worn again. I do this with the diamonds in my engagement ring and wedding band.
