I can tell you that a relationship with Christ as you savior is a wonderful life changing experience. I have found though that most atheist cannot or will not except the concept of simple faith, it takes faith in Christ to be a Christian. It is a difficult concept for some people to understand and accept that Jesus was willing to give up his life for our sins to be covered by his blood. Also the atheist that I have talked to want something tangible, they argue that you can't logically believe in something that you can't see or touch. Yet there are many things in the world that you can't see or touch that people from all walks of life agree exist. So I would say that you should read the Bible(New Testament) and then think it through, then realize that we are saved by grace, through faith not of works, it is a gift freely given so that no man can boast. This means that Christ was the sacrifice, God gave us the gift of salvation, we can't work for it it is a gift, we must accept it and be grateful for that love gift.

"I wouldn't because every person has the right to believe what they want. Just because you are a atheist and i am a Christian doesn't mean we couldn't be friends. I was taught never to judge others and to live my own life. Always be yourself and you will find that you will be happier in life if you do. Peace man "
Yeah, too bad your religion says that he is going to hell as a consequence. "James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." Therefore, your religious duty is to rebuke him since he is in the erroneous path. It still amazes me how most Christian's don't know their own bible.
I think this topic shouldn't exist because it borderlines instigating a flame war. If, however, you are unsure of your athiesm and are seeking religion as a possibility, the thread has validity.

Dude, you dont need a faith
All religions are man made - but God is real
and they are made so that man can relate in a mortal way to God.
God is of infinite intelligence
God is Omniscient
God is Omnipresent.
God is not a person nor persons he does not have a human form nor a human way of thinking.
Now man has several languages and cultures and man has several levels of intelligence and civilization. We have people still living in caves and eating dung, and we have people with Ipods and balckberries and laptops.
Now do think Infinite intelligence would make only one religion to reach all of us- over thousands of years ., do you think God would attempt to have a very specific message or a broad based message that anyone can undertsand and assimilate.?
Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Love God and acknowlege him in all things.
simple , easy, and something a caveman can use.
Think about it, use your brain.....
hope this helps

I wouldn't try, I believe that if you wanted to believe in a god of any kind that would be your choice. If you asked me why I believe in God, I would tell you because of the level fo comfort and peace that it gives me. I would tell you how my belief in the higher power makes my day go just that more smoothly for me. But in the end I would not try to convert you, because a conversion would have to be something that you felt was right for you because you felt as though you wanted to have the belief in a higher power.

No one converts another. Its all up to you whether you want to be a weakling who wants to be conned or led by the nose like the bull.
How do you become an aetheist? Or how did you become an aetheist?
Do you hate god or religion or churches? Or do think you are fashionable and want attention?
You may be begging to be analysed by some shrink who himself needs help.
Keep plugging! One day you may wake up and find its too late to sober up.

I would not try to convert you....the things that have happened to me are personal experiences and no one else, unless they have experienced it, would be able to relate.....I have a confidence that I truly spiritually walk with Christ.......and let's say that you and I spent time around each other and you truly admired me for my character traits and you were kind to me, then you would be fine.....Christ said, who blesses you, I will bless them. It is truly that easy.
Interesting thing, the people who verbally attack me the most are never atheists, they are always Christian...They do not represent Christ, yet they are always trying to convert people, to what?....So their converts can be hateful to others, like themselves? It is messed up.

If you're really interested, then I would suggest you pray to God to show you the right way. You don't need a priest or any man to pray for you. God has a relationship with His creations directly. You're one of them. If you're sincere, keep asking God. Don't say the Christain God or the Muslim God or whoever, there's just ONE God. ASK him. He loves when His creatures ASK him for something. Ask him to lead you to prosperity and happiness.
