Yes a psychiatric nurse (male) was struck off after admitting having sex with one of his patients.

Of course. They get struck off all the time. If you want details, I find "News of the World" extremely informative!!

I once had an afair with my doctor (sadly, I am not a loony tune, was just an ordinary patient) but first I had to take my name off his list and sign on with another doctor for ethics sake.

Looking back, how dodgy is that?!!

There's been a couple of stories about them being struck off for that. Bet it happens all the time.

yes when i did my training at a hospital in Edinburgh their was a psych shagging a male patient he got caught but the good old nhs swept it under the rug as they do
