Depends if your religious, and what religion you are in. In the natural order of things, homosexuality can be seen as wrong, because it goes against the common laws of reproduction, therfore making it -unatural. It is commonly believed however that homosexuality is a creation of society, and society of course is created by man also. Your 'god' probily would call it a sin, because the majority of people in the world are not homosexual, and since most concepts of religion are also created by man, the majority will usually condem the minority as sinners.
As i understand it though, people dont choose their sexuality, whether it is shaped by sociology or not, and if 'god is really 'just' and 'right' as everyone believes him to be, then sin would not be placed on something you can't change, or indeed a factor of who you are.
Sins are just laws of humanity structured together to be upheld by the face of god. Strip away away the religion, and maby god will be exactly what you hoped, especially if you are a good person.
Not you, i mean 'you' in general...now, i need some cerial.

No it is not, although religious bigots who selectively use bible verses will say yes. They will point to Leviticus, but yet they will ignore all of the other Old Testament laws about other situations that required the death penalty. They will also ignore common lifestyles enjoyed by many church members -- gluttony, lust, pride, etc., but when was the last time you turned on TV and saw a skinny evangelist? REVEREND John Hagee and REVEREND Jerry Falwell are very fat -- and don't say it's glandular. They are gluttons!
As for gayness being a sin, if it is, then it's also a sin to be tall or to have blue eyes. But of course those things don't fuel the fire of self-righteous religious bigots.

If homosexuality is a sin because it goes against nature, then surely enforced celibacy in the Catholic priesthood is a sin?I am not gay,I just think people should be left alone as long as they don't harm any-one.

Depends whether you are homosexual and if you believe in a concept of sin. I don't know where people get off on judging others based on their own concept of morality. I think it is the height of arrogance for people to expect to impose their views on everyone else just because they think it is right. I like the world full of variety and difference. Live and let live.

The Bible clearly says that the act of same-sex relations is against God's plan. Having said that, it's a sin like any other sin, no worse, all sins are equal in God's sight. There is no justification for anyone to judge a homosexual a 'worse' sinner than anyone else, they should not be excluded from churches, and we are called to love all people because we are all sinners..

Depends indeed. Being a homosexual is not a sin according to the Christian Faith (can't speak for others). However the practise of this persuasion is regarded as sinful (as is all kinds of heterosexual sex outwith marriage) by most Christian denominations.

Forgetting the religious version of God, Spirit teaches us that God is love and truth. If you commit a sexual act with another person with love in your heart, this is not a sin, being prudent and respectful of others point of view is not a sin, being circumspect with regard to your actions in a public place, with regard to others.
Sorry my guide wiped the thoughts from my mind so I guess I'm barking up the wrong tree.
Do it with love in your heart and you will commit no sin.
Love and Light

No, its a loving relationship between two people who love each other, love comes in many guises and we all have the right to choose, we all have things we dislike, homosexuality is not one of my dislikes, I admire anyone who has the courage and strength to stand up for their beliefs, good luck to them I say.

Absolutely not. Maybe some Christian groups are against it, but who cares? Some Ancient Greeks used to get involved in homsexual acts and they were around before Jesus.
