What can one say, I think I'd be a bit dissapointed but i'd wish him good luck.
It's like when someone in your family gets divorced..it's a sort of failure in life for that person....you feel a bit uneasey...don't you?
And to prot morons: let the pope do his own job, you're all popes to yourselves... and pedophilia is justas common among married prot prechers and secular teachers aswell so keep ur bigass mouths shut.

No trouble with that. It was a very bold move for him to make the change. That doesn't mean that he can no longer serve God. The Catholic priesthood has many man-made restrictions. I know of one who made the same decision. People were initially shocked, but the ex-priest and his wife are very happy. They now hav two adult children, have blended well in the professional and business groups, offer counselling and seminars. Their family is well-respectd and admired.

This is a little something I thought up... now the Catholic religion is one of the moist perfect ways to deny or (hide) their socially frowned upon lifestyle, see a good little teenage boy from a European background that's expected to marry & have a family. They seek refuge, not only will not having to marry (a women) then after becoming a priest has to keep this quite. So how does this man get to enjoy his sexuality??? Have relationsons with someone naieve, scared,young,afriad....... a child (a boy) its sick to think of this of an reason that soo many Pediphiles exscict in the Catholic church due to their rules (that are absurd)
Do u agree??
I do!!

I say be happy that he found love. Genesis 2:18 The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper for him."
The Catholic church made it's own law forbidding priests from marriage based on financial reasons, which is not supported anywhere in the Bible.

I would wish the couple the very best for many years of happiness. And I would congratulate the priest for thinking outside the box and realizing that he no longer has to be part of a religion that controls people.

As liberal-minded a theist as I hope I am, I would ask this: when he became a priest did he make a vow of celibacy to God? No, I do not personally hold that a priest must be celibate, but I do hold that if you make a promise to God, especially a vow, then...
Look - it may be that God wanted him to marry her. I can't say - I make no aspersions to godhood. Tell him you love him (in a familial sense, of course) and that you hope he is doing what God truly wants him to do.
If he is still right with God, then good.

Priests should be allowed to marry anyway. I have known of two priests who left, got married, had children and lived very happily.

it is not acceptable only with those people who are narrow-minded & for those who are traditional but for me, it's better for a priest to get married in a legal way than to commit sin through hiding of having an affair with a woman outside marriage...
