i think of snobbishness is interior the attention of the beholder. I grew up in a small village interior the English Lake District, my father replaced into the vicar, we lived in a huge abode and that i went to an autonomous college until eventually i replaced into 12, while my father would desire to no longer pay the expenses. I had very practically no pals interior the village. It replaced into assumed that i assumed i replaced into by some skill 'greater clever.' This could have been exceeded down from mum and dad to their little ones. 'do no longer play along with her, you may desire to get concepts above your station.' i'm no longer an introvert and that i can nevertheless do snobbish if I could. i do no longer take sugar with my tea, so i do no longer make a noise while stirring it. i do no longer strengthen my little finger while lifting my teacup. Now, if, once I make a remark approximately some humanitarian disaster and an entire stranger says, 'you're no longer as stupid as i assumed you have been,' then there's a sturdy danger i will shoot him down in flames, deliver all my more desirable information into play and in all danger finally end up sounding very, very snobbish (belittling), yet then: All's honest in love and conflict and that i'm nevertheless battling for peace.

A very unrealistic perception of themselves.
Snobs are people who ultimately feel they are better than anyone else or at least certain people i.e. council house dwellers etc. I often give myself a giggle about these sorts by imagining the world having to go back to the plough where everyone would have to forage for food and it wouldn't matter if you had a Meile washing machine or not cuz they would have nothing to plug it into! How would they cope? They would have to ask the more earthy and streetwise among us and get their hands dirty. Advise your sister in a kind way that it literally takes all sorts to make the world go round and no matter what status anyone has we are all as important as each other. To look down on another human being is not an enviable quality and shows very little self awareness.
Best of british!

Frank says it is breeding , I believe it is attitude !! My sister believes that she is above her station and will only mix with people of the same wealthy status as her I beleive that that is being so called snobby ! If you feel that your sister is a snob maybe she is but is unlikely to admit it !

It's ego.
Self-centeredness,
Arrogance,
a better-than-thou attitude,
Self-righteousness,
conceit,
superiority complex,
or just plain rudeness.
Just tell her you love her. And she should stop being rude. It does not become her.

Just tell her that she thinks her Sh*t doesn't stink. It may hurt but one day she will thank you. A snob is someone who looks down on those who are more unfortunate and thinks they are superior.

Snobbish is to belittle others. Your sister will take offence in
any way you put it to her.

You can't. Is there a reason to tell her? Do you think she will change if you do? If so just tell her and let her be upset about it.

in her own mind she obviously thinks she is better than others. You don't say her age so if she is young life will teach her to be more careful of others feelings
