my two little brothers have been arrested by US military unit in a night raid on our house in Baghdad weeks ago, I have desperatley tried to know why they were taken and what are the charges or when they will be released? but unfortunatley failed. I'm sure the detention was based on wrong information/tip and my brothers will be released and it's only a matter of time but I still need to know for how long they will be kept as detainees? and to whom I should refer to get accurate and reliable information?

You speak really good english to be from Iraq or Afghan.....better then any I have ever talked to...
but lets say this is an honest post....
Your brothers would not of been arrested and put in detainee status for nothing. Most likely we got intel that stated that in one way or another they were related to terrorism. Most likely they would tbe arrested and be sent to Gutanamo bay, Cuba where they will be interigated for the crimes that they have commited. They would be listed under POW status until either they have released enought information to benefit the American military or they will be gone until approx the end of the confilct...
You do not have to worry about your brothers being abused like say what happened in the past. They nipped that in the butt and your brothers are being taken cared for...

Dont worry about your brothers they will be taken care of, they wont be tortured or beaten they are just being held until the military figures out that they are not a threat then I am sure they will be released, remember interrogation is a long process if done according to the rules.

I can't tell you when they will be released it all depends on why they were taken in, but they will be treated great unlike our US soldiers in Abu Grabe and Guantonimo, hit get crap and piss and spit thrown at them on a constant basis you would think, a civilization as old as they are would have matured some. And to the guy who tried to answer your question, I am so glad we made those sacrifices to become the greatest country in the world.

Unfortunately their are no hard and firm rules on detainee status. But they should at least acknowledge there presence and health.
Badger the Iraqi authorities or grab a newsman.

It could take a while, like until the end of the war, or it could be in 10 minutes. Hope they're ok though.
