A question for Muslims. I only want serious answers and not the usual rubbish from the retard and bigots that infest this section of cyberspace. In most Muslim countries, Islam is not just a basis for religion, but also controls justice and law, politics and government and economics and banking. Given that countries like Britain, USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand operate totally different societies that are at complete odds with Islam and, like it or not, most follow a Christian model from Victorian Britain. Given this, why move to these countries? Answers such as better prospects, free society and improved quality of life obviously don't count because that would immediately be an admission that there is a better way than Islam.

Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has said it clearly that one should migrate to get a good living, it does not matter that which country you are migrating to the thing that matters is your beliefs and prayers that you have to offer no matter where ever you are wether it is a muslim country or a non-muslim country. 101% of muslims migrate to christian country for JUST study and to earn good living, if you continue to pray no matter which country you are then it is OK, places do not matter for muslims but Allah (GOD) wants from muslims to spread peace, love, and harmony and DO postrate to him, God has allowed us to migrate for good reasons and what i think is that all muslims go to other country for good reasons. Our prophet said
" Get knowledge, even if you have to go to any part of the world for it"
and i think thats what muslims do.
Thank you!

Never has a person demonstrated their intellectual and logical paucity, with the clarity and surety that you just have.

Firstly, the 'model' that is followed in the anglo-saxon countries you mentioned is not a 'Christian' model. Indeed the Britrish model which has been adopted by those ex-colonies you mentioned is one where there is absolute seperation of 'church' from 'state'. These are societies that more or less follow the 'westminster' model of parliamentary democracy; the separation of powers in terms of judicial, legislative and executive; and the basic declaration of rights and freedoms as per the magna carta.

Secondly, not all 'muslim' countries have complete 'islamic institutions'. In fact, depending on your definition of a 'muslim country', most do not have those sytems. For instance Nigeria is predominantly muslim and has institutions which are broadly based on the British system; and Indonesia is the largest muslim country in the world and also is not 'governed by islamic institutions'.

And finally, since when is 'islam' consistent with a non-free society with poor quality of life, as you imply. Only a simpleton would confuse 'fundamentalist and revolutionary islamic movements' with the mainstream islamic religion....just as most people would probably recognise that fundamentalist and bible-bashing christianity has nothing to do with mainstream christianity.

Hence your question is null and void on the basis of its' intellectually unsound, and factually unbased preseumptions.

I think a better way to phrase it is why do some Muslims who move to these countries want them to do things their way? If you like the Islamic government why emigrate, why not just go on vacation. This mostly applies to Britain.

I am a Muslim and Islam allowed its followers to live and obey the laws and leadership of any country that they find themselves. Also Islam allows other people to live and prosper amongst Muslim rule nations they entitle to freedom of worship.
Islam believes that leaders are chosen by God and so Muslims are oblige to obey the leader of their country of resident irrespective of the leaders religious beliefs, they can only disobey if they are force to fight a religious war.
