it has nothing to do with islam, it has to do with the culture, the way people are brought up and things like that. in my country, muslims are the exact opposite of what you mentioned, they are open minded and extremely nice and down to earth. i guess its just the way your classmates are brought up makes you think of them the way you do. otherwise, it has nothing to do with their religion

Akshay- its the way that the majority religions around us single out a minority religion. I am sure that the rule is well known to you, survival of the fittest. Well, from time immemorial, there was a lot of anti -muslim feeling in history and a Jehad was launched , which you probably know of. So the Muslims started launching an anti- non muslim lobby. They started believing that the rest of the religions are against islam and want to destroy it. So what they are presently doing is carried forward into todays world from that time. I agree with you they protect fellow brethren mulsims mostly, but do not despair, on the brighter side, there are some good muslims who do not care about religions and are actually open minded, you will find in this same world which we live, coun tries, with thoughts like very extreme IRAN, and SAUDI ARABIA, whereas more than in those countries we have a muslim population that thrives right here in India. Look, it is we and our minds that have this feelings, that Dont mix around with that guy - because he is a Muslim, He is not a monster. He has the same human blood that you have. I am actually proud to see that there is no other unity like MUSLIM unity. Prove me wrong.

I don't know your age. I'm assuming you are under 16. At this age you should be more focused on your studies and career. Any way, you have Sean only a fraction of the community. come out of the class room. you can see APJ, Kareem Khan, Late.Bismilla khan, Amjad Ali khan there in a never ending list. Muslims are an Integral part of this country. See in sports. Its because of some recent unfortunate events we both are looking at each other with suspicion covered on our eyes. This should be stopped. The sooner the better.

Islam is the Truth and truth offends and when someone is firm of faith he is envied by the weak and those who have nothing to stand upon but fantasy and dreams and mysteries.

The envier will never see what he is, like the old saying that the monkey doesn't see his own tail.

The envier these days need to seek the support of others like himself so he jumps on the Muslim's back to justify his hatred and envy.

Muslims perform better under pressure.

All religions have this problem, it does not belong to Muslim alone. Everyone thinks their religion is the only one. I think it is impossible to know whom God hold in highest esteem and would never try to second guess HIS ultimate wisdom. I do, however think that GOD is very sad that religion has split so far from where he wanted it to be. I guess GOD just really wishes we were more tolerant of everyones idea's as there must be some truth in each. perhaps a glance at all of them would probably give us a better picture of how religion is supposed to work. Maybe we should all just be alittle more tolerant of each other.

The Indian society is, stratified according to Hindu ritual of purity, especially the Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaisya, and Sudra castes also known as the UN-TOUCHABLES.
With the advent of Islam in India, it did away with this discrimination between humans and gave them self respect by treating every one on equal footings regardless of caste, colour or religion, because Islam is a classless faith.Since the Muslims are in a minority in India who are constantly subjected to religious and racial discrimination, hence this feeling of insecurity and are bound to their fellow Muslims.

Islam - the Religion, is very young and going through a development phase. On this account, even many of the their leaders are still intolerant. It will improve over centuries.
