Emerald Temple is worth a visit

Shopping
Platinum Fashion Mall - must go! wholesale prices, fully aircon, things are pretty new there.

MBK shopping centre (adjacent to it is the Tokyu shopping centre) - even the bridge that connects the above shopping are full of pedallers selling cheap and nice things.

Naraya at World Trade Centre - shop selling lots of bags and small purses etc. if your wife and girlfriend is going with you, she's gotta love it

the rest of the shopping centres, in my opinion, are too expensive (at least for me).

Night Market
Suan Lam Night Market - must go. lots of restaurants at reasonable prices. and more shopping of cos.

Chatuchak Market is only open during the weekends. Things are getting expensive there but if you are a first timer, might want go take a look.

Massage
most of the hotels offer massage services. just a ring and they would send someone over.

Stay longer. Bangkok is such an exciting city with so much to do. It would be a shame to rush through it. Of course you would have to see the Temples and the Leaning Budda. Then check out the huge shopping malls, and the night market. A trip on the River Taxi is differernt. Great Restraunts abound. Spend a little time just sitting and watching the people. You could combine that with a trip to Lumpini Park--largest park in BKK. To get a good "overview" of the city take a trip on the sky train. Stay at Malaysia Hotel for $12-14. US per night includes Breakfast. Clean, cheap, safe, good location. Have a wonderful time. I'll be there in Oct. for several months.

I relatively have been to Thailand a million/2 a dozen situations and that i grow to be not at all bored, I cant say plenty approximately Bangkok however, I not at all spend greater desirable than a night each and each way there. in case your bored in Bangkok, only take a bus, practice from Hua Lam Pong or a flight to three different province, there isn't any dearth of places to circulate to and issues you need to do. circulate there for Songkran or Thai New 3 hundred and sixty 5 days around the thirteenth of April, its the wildest exciting time you may ever have. you could at last discover that 2 weeks is miserably short. Have a competent stay in Banggkok. stay faraway from the girls, they are relatively enormously and smile plenty, yet are internally crammed with discomfort by way of poverty, sick mothers and fathers, being single mothers and fathers themselves, or having to assist HIV+ husbands or different kin.

Get a Thai massage, visit the Royal Grand Palace, eat lots of the wonderful food that you can buy from street vendors, especially the gooey sweet things (there are several kinds), and DEFINITELY go to Patpong night market. It happens every night on Patpong and is a stunning phenomenon. Over the course of 30 minutes, an average road is transformed into an enormous bustling marketplace.

Visit the Emerald Temple and take lots of pictures, then cross the river by boat and visit Temple of Dawn and take lots of pictures. Next, hurry to Siam Paragon or MBK and enjoy the cool air and nice food. I don't know how many hours you will have? Last stop should be the bookstore in Siam Paragon. Grab a book you want to read while you are leaving Bangkok.
DO NOT SPEND TIME "WOMEN SHOPPING", please!!!!!!!!!

Best thing to do . . take a river taxi up and down the river . . you'll get a wonderful sense of the city and the people, the smells, and the working of the river, it's wonderful . . . if you get a chance to take a small private boat, you can see the floating market, but what's nicer, you get to see how the people live, you pass by homes, you see kids swimming, mothers washing laundry, fathers gardening, granparents sitting on their porches, you'll see their homes (and often inside as much is out in the open) it's a remarkable culture with wonderful open and friendly people . . chatuchak market on the weekends is a fun place if you'll be there over a weekend . . . have fun!!!

Choose from these options :-
a. Go for Thai body massage - best way to de-stress
b. Check out Thai cuisine if you can savor spicy food or order those less spicy ones.
c. Take the Skytrain to the station where the Chachutak wholesale market is. You can get whatever you need 'under one roof'. The only setback is they only open on SAT & SUN.

Depends on how much time you have in hand! Bangkok has everything, depends on what you are looking for! Culturally rich, many famous old monuments and sites to visit. Food is great and varied. Great place to shop - branded stuff or good imitation of them. Night life, out of this world, comes in many forms :-) Have fun ... and you will return again.

For me, i will go shopping.

You know you just go around Siam Square area, then you can buy anything that you want. because, around there has many shopping mall like Siam Paragon - the newest one in BKK, Siam Discovery, Siam Centre, Central World Plaza and MBK Shopping Centre.

Otherwise if you like to buy the cheap price stuff, you can spend time in Chatuchak Weekend Market. Also, you can find everything there in the cheap prices.

Of course, you can find the cheap accommodation for your trip in BKK at www.excelloz.com
