Generally speaking the dress code is the same at all racecourses: smart day wear.

Men should wear a suit, shirt and tie and ladies should wear either a dress, trouser suit or skirt and smart top/jacket. Try to avoid short skirts (that is anything above the knee) and you should try to make sure that the jacket and skirt/trousers match (i.e. don't wear black trousers and a white jacket).

Most importantly be comfortable in wat you are wearing, and have fun! Oh and as others have mentioned, back the British horses on the Pari Mutuel you will get a much better price than with the Tote or British bookmakers.

ive been twice & both times i went it rained but i was wearing a suit anyway so i didn't look like a total idiot.

be wary of any british trained runners as they are can struggle with the French style of racing, unless it has a french jockey on board as the trainer is being pretty savvy.

& although i think nothing will beat Hurricane Run in the arc i'd love to see Sir Percy or super mare Ouiji Board win

paris in october is about 10 degrees and the normal dress sense for the meeting is very smart but practical for obvious reasons,
a nice trouser suit is very popular and a scarf and gloves as excessories are a must if you want to wander about the parade ring ect,
if you want to remain within the bars or food halls you can wear whatever you want as they are all heated
the last time i was there it was actually sunny and i got a sun tan,,but it is normally cold,,
good luck and back lots of winners on the pari mutual

cheers
