Yes it is, however, you have to still ask the pharmacist for it, and they counsel you on the correct dosage and make sure you are using it for the right reasons. So bottom line, you can't just pick up Tylenol with Codeine right off the shelf, but you don't need a prescription for it either.

Codeine is available, but only up to a certain dosage.. Tylenol number 3's with codeine are available only by prescription.. however we have cough medicines with codeine in them available over the counter..we can also get some codeine bases pain killers over the counter, but they have low levels of codeine.

Yes you can get Tylenol with Codeine, it's behind the counter you have to ask the pharmacist for it. And yes it is a drug that can be abused, which is why it is not on the shelf. Tylenol 3 is not available over the counter, a prescription is required.

Yes, in small dose acetametaphin tablet (ie: Tylenol). Be careful though, as Codeine is extremely habit forming.

I have never been able to get Codeine without my doctor's prescription yet...

Maybe because it's for my back?... Maybe because I live in middle-of-nowhere, Alberta?...
