Where do people get these answers? What a load. You can't use such an affidavit for a tourist visa, you can't work on a tourist visa, and you can't convert a tourist visa to a green card. But of course the asker knows all this - I hope.

The reason you have been refused a tourist visa is, clearly, that the consul doesn't believe you'll go home again. The only way to go to the US is to immigrate: one of your siblings or parents in the US, if he or she is a citizen, can petition for you. Or try the DV lottery; 50,000 people win every year, why not you?

If you can, get a paper from a member of your family saying that a member of your family in the USA will pay your bills if you become sick or if you can't find work right away, then ask the family member to write this letter and sign it in front of a Notary Public and then mail or fax it to you. This letter is called an affidavit.
You will then give it to the man who interviews you at the American Embassy there.
Get a visitor's visa and then while you are here in the US, apply for your green card.
Don't stop trying and good luck!
