The inventors are as follows:
1. The Chinese...crude rockets...similar to what we use on special occassions....that goes swooooooshing.....and bursts when you ignite it...like fire crackers..
2. Dr. Robert Goddard of USA...His Rocket making principles are so firm that even today there is a little change in the basics of the rocketry. He was an excellent machinist too that he could make the prototypes easily which Dr. Braun couldn't do easily.
3. However, Dr. Braun of Germany is considered the father of the modern rocketry.

The Chinese invented gunpowder and crude sky rockets several thousand years ago.

The father of modern rocketry is regarded to be Dr. Werner von Braun.

it would be the chinese people as they invented gun powder first and they used those gun powder to fire up small rockets...
