The great age of maturity, 40 ,when one is nearing their 40th birthday they sometimes get a bit dizzy and - Men will seek affairs with younger women and women start thinking botox, nip and tuck and sometimes toy boys,and some shrink when their gps tell them they are too old to have a normal baby. Most people accept this age have great celebrations and mature gracefullly. Me? im past all that. I matured at an early age and grateful to God I have life and all my faculties working..

Different things to different people.

Just as a hormonal change happens to teenagers and they get horny, crazy or whatever, things happen to older folks too.

For middle aged women, their hormones change and their periods stop. They either get more or less horny, they realize their baby making time is over and they re-evaluate their lives as they approach old age.

Same for men, maybe worse. They see themselves getting old, and start lusting for younger women or different women sometimes.

Those that have no self control are in a world of hurt and may abandon a good marriage. or a bad one.

for women, it begins during menopause usually at the age of 40-45. for men it can be younger in the thirties, but I think they usually don't hit mid-life crisis until they turn 50 yrs. old.
No, I haven't had one, but I have known many patients I care for that suffer from anxiety and depression that is linked to their age. for women, it's all about hormones and body changes. for men, I think it's stability, and they feel like they haven't succeeded in life if their career isn't successful.

It's associated with the 40's usually. It is a realization that you are getting older..and makes you want to do certain things while you're still young enough to do them. Or for some, makes them wish they hadn't taken the path they took...and sends them looking for another.

It's the age (usually 40-50) where people realize they are starting to get old and feel like their best years are behind them instead of in front of them.

They start to act younger, buy sports cars, dye their hair, dump their spouse and find someone half their spouse's age... etc.

You really have to be older to experience one.... and I'm not that old yet.

it usually happens to 40-50 year old men when they feel like life is about to pass them by so they screw up everything in their life like quit their job, cheat on their wives with younger girls, they travel to strange places.....they basically go crazy. ive known at least 20 people who have gone thru this. some dont make it back. it happens to women too. they get tatoos or peirce something, they try to change thier look. oh they drink too much and try drugs.

lol.. well, im 38.. and i have alot of crisis.. but, its mid life, early life, and im sure in life to come. i think that as we mature, we change in so many ways.. but i do know that my hormones are raging !! ( in a good way) my worst days are when i am missing family/friends. i am a moody biatch..;) but i cant way for sure its "age" related..lol.. kisses~
