I'm happy that you've got your family back, sorry to hear about your loss.
I tell my family I love them every time I see or talk to them. (In person, I also give a big hug. You never know, it may be the last one you get.)
Best wishes for you!

While one can feel thankful for your experience, one should also be aware that there are cultural differences involved here. For example, in the US, which is a verbal culture, you are expected to say things about love to your family, friends and lovers, on an almost daily basis, because no matter what you do it's the words that seem to count.
On the other hand, in China parents, children, and lovers rarely if ever use words of love (yet they are very loving people), because in their culture words are empty and have no meaning and only actions are worthwhile. For them, saying "I love you" is an empty and meaningless gesture because only actions of love have any meaning. If you love, you are kind and responsible in your actions, so words are irrelevant.
So, to answer your question directly: If you are American of European descent, you probably use words to express love, and tell your friends, family and lovers you love them, probably for lovers on a daily basis (at least)...If you are Chinese, you probably NEVER tell anyone that you love them. You show your love through your actions.

No i do not because i dont. My entire family is so ****** in the head it is actually funny. You have not seen a screwed up family until you have met mine. It is a really long story and I think that it would probably blow your mind. I do however tell my 2 boys a 100 times a day that i love them.

I'm sorry about your family member's passing.
Yes, we tell one another that we love each other every time we meet and say goodbye (and a lot of in betweens, especially for my children). I agree with you-it's important to let people know that they are loved. Sometimes it makes all the difference in their lives.

Well I love them all and I do not feel the need to always tell them about it coz it takes away the beauty from the love

In my family we never tell eachother we love them b/c we know they do, were also not that kind of family, were the kind that aren't serious and take the piss out of eachother. Thats quite sad actually!
