Considering I have 10 cats, 4 dogs a horse, and 14 foster cats, I would have to say my pets rule the house.

I most certainly don't serve my cat. He gives me unconditional love and understands when to soothe without me having to say anything. I'm simply providing him with shelter, warmth and food, all of which are only the basic things of life, even for a human being. One's pet is like a member of the family, and should be treated as such. It's not a matter of who's serving who, but more of a simple mutual give and take interdependence borne out of love.

The pet rules. I give my cat all my love, and all my attention. They get what they want because I give it to them.

i rule my house. my pet depends on me to serve him with love, food, water, and attention. i took the responsibility in making sure that is done. that would be like you saying that your new baby child rules the house because you have to serve him or her. pets depend on their owners, they dont rule them.

Your pet does.
Your pet gives you love.
You give your pet love.
You serve your pet.
You're doing two things for your pet. Your pet is doing one thing for you.

I rule the house, and they all know it. And my Lab is like my backup, if one of the others tries to beg from me she will growl at them, or if they get in the trash she will chase them. I love my pet, she serves me.

My Shih Tsu knows that I am in charge, and hold the leash, but, with the most loving hands. Why not?
At 3am, if I can't sleep, she'll listen! Takes a huge load off my wife!
But, I see that the doggy has taken an interest in TV, and doesn't really listen attentively, lately!

I have four cats, a geriatric dog and half a dozen fish. As long as the humans continue to sway the fish vote we stay in power. Should the fish and cat parties unite, we'd be out on the street.

Actually the pet does. You have to get their food, clean after them, watch over them..all in all because you love them and they love you.
