Hi,

I think it's better for you to stay in Mumbai. The Goa campus does have a name "BITS", but the city matters a lot.

If you're in Mumbai, you can get a lot of exposures to good companies (like Yahoo! itself). I did my BTech from Bangalore, although I was able to get better colleges in UP. But I stayed in Bangalore (you might not have heard my college's name - BMS) and I am working in Yahoo! right now.

So, it's to be in the right place. To speak of colleges, I can tell you it does not make any difference where you study, because you have to study yourself. Faculty really is not interested in studies.

All the best,
Bye!

PS: It should be your decision in the end!

Are you talking about Mumbai University Institute of Chemical Technology? If yes then UICT is certainly is a very good place to graduate from though it is not as well known as BITS in the employer community. So it depends where you are getting better stream. Accordingly you can take decision.
