Most of the answers that were given have no basis in fact - the morons spouting this nonsense are either repeating what their preacher told them or are making it up from whole cloth, and in doing so mock GOD and ignore GOD's word.
Catholicism has its own ideology that is seperate from the Bible, and therefore wrong to those who are true followers of GOD. There is no "trinity" and the thought of GOD being a man is one of the greatest forms of blasphemy that exists - GOD has no equal and saying otherwise breaks his very first commandment - to never practice idolatry.
In the Bible, Jesus does say that "The Lord and I are one" but this is a misinterpretation. The language says that they are of one mind, in that they are in total agreement. Jesus was preaching against the teachings of the current church leadership, which pissed them off and eventually led to Jesus getting his *** kicked. Several times in the Bible, Jesus was worshipped by people who believed in his divinity, and Jesus said to them that he is NOT GOD and that no one is good or worthy of worship except for HIS FATHER, who is GOD in heaven.
If you are interested, I can give you more information about the subject if you send me a message.
*edit* to the dumbass below me: I think I'd rather take the word of GOD over some website posted by an idiot who believes in this nonsense, okay? If you feel good about worshipping a man, fine, but don't say that this is part of GOD's plan, because it never was.

This is where I think people take the Bible too literally. I think that when Jesus said that "I am the Son of God," he meant it in the way that we're ALL supposed to be children of God, not that he's the literal "son." And according to the Bible, God is our Father. So why wouldn't Jesus refer to him in the same way? I think Jesus was just another human being, but the things he said and the way he said them have been taken wrong.
If anyone finds a scripture that he is God, then let me know too, because at the moment I believe otherwise.
---
And being "a part of God" doesn't make him a God, because technically we're all a part of God according to some, which would make every single one of us a God in that context.

I don't. I believe that GOD is the universal Father. He sent his only BEGOTTEN son to us. I worship God and God alone. Jesus taught me that. This comes from the word Trinity, and most people that believe in the trinity use John:1,1 to back up their claim. But you can't take a few verses out of the bible and say well it must mean this. The bible has to harmonize from Genesis to revelation. It is not what Jesus taught. Never did he say that he was God. He taught the opposite. The word trinity is not mentioned in the bible, and Jesus or his disciples didn't teach it.

In John 10:30, Jesus says "I and the Father are one" and the reason we worship Jesus is because the John says that no man can come to the father (God) except through Jesus John 6:44. We must worship Jesus in order to worship God, and in order to see God.
Matthew 1:23 says that Jesus' name would be Immanuel which means God with us. God dwelling in the Godhead, which is the Trinity in Colossians 2:9. Thomas refers to Christ as his Lord and God in John 20:28. John 14:8-9 Jesus tells Philip that He who has seen Him (Christ) has seen the Father (God). So when you see Christ, you see God because Christ is God... There are many other scriptures that come to mind but I cannot give the exact place...I hope this answers you question though...

I believe that Jesus is God and here are some scriptures I hope will help you. God Bless you.
John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.” John 1:14 says that “the Word became flesh.” This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, "...Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased the church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!
Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him. Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior - Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1). In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, "But about the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom."

He is God because the bible says so.
John 1:1 - 14 - Says that he is God.
1- Phil 2:5-6 - (v. 5) "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
(v. 6) Who, although He subsisted in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped.
Titus 2:13 - Paul calls Jesus Christ the Great God and our Savior:
There are many many more verses that says He is God.

Jesus claimed to be equal with God.
You can know by his repeated claim to be one with God. John quoted Jesus as saying, "Before Abraham was, I AM" (8:58). In Exodus 3:14, the name I AM was used by God to identify Himself to Moses. John also quoted Jesus as saying, "I and My Father are one" (10:30) and "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him" (14:7). According to the Gospels, Jesus said that to love or hate Him, or to receive or reject Him, was to love or hate, receive or reject, His Father in Heaven.
There are many other scriptures to back that claim up.
1. Virgin conceived a son by God's Spirit.
2. An Old Testament Prophet predicated a God-Man. Isaiah 2, Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 7:14.
3. Angels announced the birth. (Luke 2:8-14).
4. A sign appeared in the sky. (Numbers 24:17, Micah 5:2).
5. The time was right. (Daniel 7:13-14, Daniel 9:24-27).
6. His friends worshipped Him. (John 1:1-3,14; John 20:28, 2 Peter 1:1).
7. Jesus' enemies accused him of blasphemy. (John 10:33).
8. Jesus' miracles supported His claims.
His right to forgive sins was proven as He healed the crippled man.
He fed thousands of people with a little boy's lunch, setting the stage for His claim to be the "bread of life."
He walked on water, stilled angry seas, healed the sick, restored paralyzed limbs, gave sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf, and even raised people from the dead. (John 20:30-31).
AND YET THE GREATEST OF ALL:
9. His departure was greater than His arrival.
He paid the price by dying for our sins, only to be resurrected 3 days later. The proof of the resurrection: Jesus appeared to His closest disciples and more than 500 other followers for a period of 40 days (1 Corinthians 15:5-8).
