MATHEW 24:29
C. The Sun Turned into Darkness
Prophecy: "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened."
Fulfillment: This was fulfilled by a day of supernatural darkness on May 19, 1780. It was not an eclipse. Timothy Dwight says, "The 19th of May, 1780, was a remarkable dark day.
PAGE-24 (T.W.I.E.)
Candles were lighted in many houses; the birds were silent and disappeared, and the fowls retired to roost. ... A very general opinion prevailed, that the day of judgment was at hand." Quoted in Connecticut Historical Collections, compiled by John Warner Barber (2nd ed.; New Haven: Durrie & Peck and J.W. Barber, 1836) p. 403.
JOEL 2:31
D. The Moon Turned into Blood
Prophecy: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come."
Fulfillment: The moon became as red as blood on the night of the "dark day," May 19, 1780. Milo Bostick in Stone's History of Massachusetts says, "The moon which was at its full, had the appearance of blood."
MATHEW 24:29
E. The Stars Fall from Heaven
Prophecy: "And the stars shall fall from heaven."
Fulfillment: The great star shower took place on the night of November 13, 1833. It was so bright that a newspaper could be read on the street. One writer says, "For nearly four hours the sky was literally ablaze."* Men thought the end of the world had come. Look into this. It is most fascinating, and a sign of Christ's coming.
*Peter A. Millman, "The Falling of the Stars," The Telescope, 7 (May-June, 1940) 57.
MATHEW24:30
F. Jesus Comes in the Clouds
Prophecy: "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."
Fulfillment: This is the next great event. Are you ready?

It was a little more than seven weeks since the people in Jerusalem had indeed seen the sun turned into darkness, during the early afternoon of the day of our Lord crucifixion. And on the same afternoon the paschal full moon may well have appeared to look blood-red in the sky in consequence of that preternatural gloom. These were to be understood as tokens of the advent of the day of the Lord, that great and notable day, a day of judgment, to be sure but more immediately the day of God's salvation to all that invoked his name..... One more thing Revelation 6 only goes to Rev 6:17. Rev 6:20 does not exist..........

Have you read all of Acts 2? Read verse 16. Peter is not saying that this is some future event, but that it was going on THAT DAY. It was foretold by Joel (he is quoting the book of Joel).
End of the world terminology usually is not talking about the end of the world. It is usually very dramatic language to emphasize that "the world" as you know it is about to come to an end. In numerous places in the Old Testament this type of language is referring to the end of various nations. Here it is the end of the Mosaic Law with the beginning of the church.
In Revelation 6:20 there are many things it could mean. Many believe Revelation IS talking about the end of the earth, and it may be literal (in some fashion or another). Others believe that Revelation was talking about the fall of Rome, and therefore has already taken place.

It could mean a lunar eclipse. A full moon at the horizon during a lunar eclipse looks blood red.

I don't know, but I heard that applied to something that's happening next week. We're supposed to be able to see Mars in full view. It will be as big as a full moon. I read online somewhere that people were applying the scripture to this event. But besides that, I have no clue.

merely a reference to the blood moon, or hunters moon, which happens when the moon is low in the sky and there is enough atmospheric interference to make it appear much larger and very red. it probably freaked people out ack in the day.

allready happened:
New England's Dark Day. It may happen again and it's nothing unusual, it's only a very rare lunar eclipse that makes the moon look that color.

The moon turning into blood is one of the signs Jesus gave us so we would know it is him. There will be one to come that is the anti Christ so that is why Jesus gave us those signs. That is why it is important to read the bible so we know what to expect.

the radiation from many nuclear bombs exploding will create clouds of chemicals & when mixed with the dust from all the sands of Middle East thrown into atmosphere, will make the moon appear red as blood
