probably just anxiety. Anxiety attacks come in different levels; simply anxiety or maybe an attack. You could have anxiety attacks but not have the disorder. when this happens, what are the things on your mind that you are stressing over? Are you overwhelmed and confused about your emotions and thoughts, have low self esteem, shy, and introverted? All different kinds of anxiety too such as social anxiety. If it is anxiety, take care of it, see a psychotherapist. Anxiety attacks can lead to the disorder which can lead to further disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Handle it now so it doesn't grow, if it is anxiety.

could be allergies too. try to pay attention to what you ate beforehand. the mind can play some serious tricks on you.

Your shortness of breath and chest pain might be different. One realy needs to know what kind of pain is it? It could be pneumonia, but other factors being stable one can exclude this. Or it could be a musculoskeltal pain accompanied by asthma, both being different thing. Normally heart problems will lead to shortness of breath with exertion, not at rest. This is a sign of asthma or panic attacks.

Heartbeats that are hard and fast are called palpitations. It is normal to hear or feel your heart "pounding" as it beats faster when you exercise or do other physical activities. But if you have palpitations, you might feel your heart beating fast while you are just sitting still or moving slowly. It can be caused by just about anything. Your doctor should examine you and ask you about any medicines you are taking, your diet, and if you have panic attacks.

Check out "Panic Disorder" It is a medical condition, has many variations, and it is treatable!!!

This disorder does NOT always start out with panic, but rather with other symptoms such as what U are describing. ******

There is sometimes "mitral valve prolapse" associated with Panic disorder, nothing to worry about, but it may be what is causing the chest pain.

See a doctor who is familiar with panic disorder.

You're either having an anxiety attack or you've been on some drug like cocaine.

A couple of years ago my son complained about the same thing you've described. After a lot of time and money, we found out he was on, then stopped using, cocaine. He was having some type of withdrawl syndrome which caused him to have anxiety attacks.

Check with your doctor again. Be honest. Good luck.

DOOD TRUST ME ON THIS ONE, its all in your head. Well, at least I hope, that happens to me too. Not very often, but it does. I will be sitting there and I feel that I can't breathe and I freak myself out and my arms tingles and I think I might go numb, and because I know that these are like symptoms of a heart attack I freak out and it gets worse. But then it eventually goes away and everythings cool, I know how you feel bud, just chill.

is there a possibility you have asthma you are too young to have a heart attack. with asthma you wake up with a full feeling in your chest, you cant breathe and you have problems coughing. have your dr listen to your back and chest to see if there is wheezing if so he will give you a prescription for an inhaler (puffer) and tell you how to use it good luck to you

try getting a recommendation to see a cardiologist from your doctor because if its related to your heart, it could be serious...don't wait.

I know a few people growing up who had heartatacks at 16-17 yrs old.

My father had a heartatack when I was 14.

asthma, narrow wind pipe, allergies, panic attacks. could be a variety of things. you may want to visit a pulmonologist (a doctor that specializes in lung problems).
