You need to contact the American Red Cross. I am a 1st class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and when I was in Afghanistan whenever there was an injured person we put them through to the American Red Cross. They will be able to find him and give you and your family an update about his condition.Good Luck and Godspeed!

His injury doesn't matter. Do you love him? He's still the same person you fell in love with. He's just had some new experiences. And he'll need to share that with somebody. Are these life changing injuries, or something that will heal up? You might need to think about lifestyle changes if you are looking at a future together. It's critically important that you talk and think. Good luck!

There are organisations and charities which offer advise and assistance to families of soldiers. Do a google search for your area. Or call the Pentagon or the MOD if you are in the UK.
