I went through a phase many years ago where i definitely thought blondes were more attractive.......but now women with any colour hair could catch my attention. For me it can be a turn off if the girl obviously dies her hair to look blonde, so just remember that before you go off and bleach your hair like crazy. It looks much more natural and sexy if you just lighten your hair with a few streaks or foils.
Hope this helps.

I think nowadays, (mature) guys are actually looking for someone who's more natural. Fake blondes are NOT that attractive.

I think many men still prefer the blonde stereotype yes. It is the stereotype that is attractive though. Many men want to feel like Men. Therefore they often want a feminine, slightly needy, not-too-bright woman so they can feel like her masculine, intelligent protector. Don't think this is all men though. Many men also like brunettes, redheads, black hair.
I personally prefer a whole package: the character, the look, the sense of humour, the trustworthiness, and the femininity. Although, I have a slight preference for darker skin-tones, which usually means brunettes or black hair.

Well, no one authorized be to speak for all men, but for myself, there are certainly physical features that draw my attention to strangers, among them blonde or red hair. However, there's not that much practical importance to this, since I generally don't talk to strangers.
I normally meet women in social situations, talk to them, and get to know them. As I get to know someone, hair color and other features get less and less important - and I'm talking about the first couple minutes.
So, if I were the only man in the world (or the one you were interested in) and you were considering dying your hair, getting a nose job or breast implant, or whatever to get my attention, I'd say use the money to buy a good book, see an interesting movie you'd like to talk about, or get a CD with music that excites you.
Be interesting, be exciting, be yourself.
But hey, if YOU want to be blonde because you want it - go for it.

It seems to me that men stare at brunettes more. Maybe that's because I'm blonde! I think it's just our minds telling us "he likes her better because she's diff." If your brunette or a red head then men will probably seem to look at blonde's more, if your blonde or brunette they will look at redheads more. It's just our insecurities. We should all just try to be happy with ourselves and forget about what "guys" think!
I know easier said than done!!

I'm a guy, and I actully count a girl being blonde as a negative...I've been a brunette fan all of my life. I also happen to be like totally obsessed with Miss Portman, but that's just a coincidence.
