String cheese sticks are handy, and not too messy, also fairly healthy compared to candy bars. Try those and some healthy whole grain crackers, or fruit.

Fresh fruit would be your best bet.
Takes 2 seconds to grab an apple on your way out and it keeps well in a backpack. Healthy as well.

I know this may sound like a goofy joke, but I'm dead serious.
they're called sweety & salty nutbars, they're made by a company called Nature's Valley. They're about the size of granola bars & they're absolutely delicious.

Bananas or any other fruit you like. Not crackers please! And make sure you don't confuse hunger with thirst. Drink water first. If you are still hungry you can have a snack.

i always have either crackers, biscuits, cookies, or energy bars kept in my bag every time i'm at school so that i don't have to rush to the canteen whenever i'm hungry.
