If there is no God and all religion is made up by man, why do people try so hard to prove it wrong? One would think people would need to prove it RIGHT, wouldn't they? Better Question: Why is it that when people talk about and/or attack "religion", they automatically bring up Christians/Christianity, God, the Bible, Muslims and Islam (in that order). These people will accuse the perviously mentioned of being intolerant and bigoted because they "force their beliefs on other people". (The last time I checked, I was an adult and no one can FORCE me to believe anything I don't want to believe, but that's beside the point.) For me to say it's wrong for you to "force your beliefs on me because you're intolerant and a bigot" is an intolerant and bigoted statement in itself! (I'm just sayin...)
Bottomline: If you KNOW something doesn't exist, why try so hard to prove it? Shouldn't the burden of proof be on those who say the "thing" DOES exist?

Those are great points you are making! It reminds me somewhat of a question I asked an upset atheist on this site who didn't like people warning him that he was on his way to hell if he didn't turn to Jesus for salvation.
I'm like, "If you don't believe in God or hell why should it bother you? I mean if someone told me that if I didn't follow their religious beliefs I was going to be abducted by space aliens and taken to their slave planet it certainly wouldn't trouble me."

To answer a slightly different question tossed in there:
The reason Western beliefs are brought up is simple. The vast majority of Eastern religions believe in reincarnation; if you don't get it in this life, no worries, you'll get it some other time. There's not much proselytization. Western religions believe in one lifetime, once shot, and this is why their members can be more aggressive in belief-pushing. This is not always the case, but helps it to make a little more sense.

Yes. the burden of proof does lie on those who claim something exists. However, we fight religion (mainly christianity) because they try to rule our lives, make our laws, outlaw everything fun or scientific, they've murdered millions who don't believe, they really just hold back all of humanity from progressing and reaching our potential. These are only a few reasons.

The reason for the fight isn't about the burden of proof. The answer is to prevent the things people commit on each other in the name of religion.

I don't feel I need to prove anything. I know the truth and that is all that matters. If others also know the truth, that is terrific! Those who don't know or accept the truth, such as yourself, really don't want to know or can't handle the truth. Such is life. I prefer to live life, and not waste my time anymore in attempts to convince folks who don't want convincing, such as yourself.
Last time I looked, I was also an adult, probably older than you, and choose my own way, thank you very much.

First we understand that when we create a boundary then war is must. For example India and Pakistan there is a border war is must Golf country and America there is a border war is must like that we create a border in our religion like Humdu and Muslim, Muslim and Christianity. God never make any religion. For example when Jesus live in his body no Christianity or Jesus is not Christian or in that time no Christianity like that when Buddha live in his body no Buddhist or Buddha is not Buddhist or in that time no Buddhist When Mahabir no Jain Dharma, When Jarastu no Parsi religion. So it is create by us groupiesam is our creator and war is our habit.

well we'll always find one thing or another to fight for, its true. if its not religions, its race or colour or country or profit whatever.... And if you read history we have never went through a peaceful phase its was jews against christians, christians against muslims, muslims against the jews etc... I am glad some religion groups are too small to consider or else I would have needed to add them.
SO its not proof they are looking for its war!

Because, jack@ss, nobody likes being told that what they believe in is wrong. Atheists don't believe in anything, so religious people get offended whenever they tell them that they're being idiots for believing in their chosen religion.
What evidence do you have that God doesn't exist anyway?

Your right, it is. But that doesn't rule out argument. You give me an argument for the "thing" and chances are I'll tell you it will not do for me because.... Does that mean I'm trying to prove the "thing" doesn't exist or am I telling you; you failed to prove "it's" existence to me?
