good balance diet with cardiorespiratory & strength training exercises... for the strength training, you should do a full range in order to not get that hunch look... start easy and light, then increase the weights as your muscular endurance increase. This way, you end up building that muscular look & will know that you are progressing. You should not do it more than 6 days a week, muscles need to relax too...

and stay away from steroid(?)

It is not difficult at your age,but you need to grow meat to be able to tone them into hard muscles.
Joining gym classes are for advance body builders and lazy people. If you have got enough self discipline, push-ups,sit-ups and dips are enough to get yourself a good shape.
To grow meat means your have to increase your body mass. Muscles will only evolve from fats. If not,you will only see veins start popping out of your skin as you progress.
But remember, body training does have its side effect - If you stop completely one day, your muscles will just slack and turn back to fats. So you will still need to maintain after you gain those muscles.

Good luck!
