They do it because they have sin in them. There is sin in the world. Everything is cursed. Their hearts are not touched by God. A lot of people worship idols, not just heathens. Nice people and good people have idols too. They worship their jobs, their marriage, their kids, their relationships, their money, their car, their collections. If you want to know what someone's idol is, watch how they spend their time. We all sin, we all do different sins. We all fall short of the glory of God. We aren't perfect. People have been worshipping idols since the day of Moses, it's nothing new. It just our job to keep being an example of God's love and loving good people and bad people. Follow Jesus example, he hung out with lowly sinners.

Don't you understand, you don't know if god exists or created anything, and the 'heathens' are aware of it, thus they have a whole different set of beliefs. Can you not understand that if a person doesn't believe in god, they probably won't care about other precepts of the bible, such as how an idol you make with your own hands is related to their religion - to them, they see it just as you see your religious artifacts. Don't judge other people by your standards. That is wrong.

you should go read up on paganism, Wicca and the such before judging, I have Friends that I hang with of all religions from Buddhists to Christians, we never ever judge each other and accept each other for who we are. I Follow the gods that made the first man and woman ( Ask and Embla). The gods and goddesses of my ancestors, who were "worshipping" them 40,000 years before that shmuck Jesus came along. As for your MINOR desert storm god, he didn't Create ****. Its xians that are the "dumb" ones. You worship a god who's afraid to show him self, egotistical, and totally self-centered.
