My girlfriend and I had a very serious relationship for nearly the past year. When I was in the Czech Republic I bought her a granat stone ring, one of the national symbols. It is very nice, gold, fitted to her ring size, and was maybe $150. I was planning on giving it to her for her birthday which is coming up in a week. I had insinuated before we broke up that I had a nice surprise for her on her birthday. We are still on very good terms and she visited me over in Europe, but since we broke up, do you think I should still give her this ring? She may have gotten the hint that I bought her jewelry. Do I give it to her, or what? Thanks for the help!

H*ll to the NO!!!! You bought that ring for your girlfriend. She is no longer your girlfriend. Save it for your future girlfriend or give it to your Mom or sister. You told her you had a nice surprise when you were together. NOW, a nice card or sincere best wishes will do.

If you guys are still good friends I would give her the ring...but....if there is no chance of you guys getting back together I would throw in that "even though you guys aren't a couple, you still want her to have it as a sign of your friendship".
Giving it too anyone else you meet will only remind you of who you really bought it for which isn't fair to anyone.
That's awesome that you guys are still friends!

Yes give it to her....you bought it for her right! And when you bought it it was with the intention that she would look good wearing it so...give the girl the ring, especially if you're still on good terms. I'd say go for it!

What for? You won' be getting anywhere with her anymore anyhow!!! Save it for the next one. As I saw in an earlier answer..."Just get her a nice card" ... and call it quits while you are still ahead!
