i would like to get the tattoo of the earth symbol in wiccan, it will be on the back of my neck, any pointers or info on what it looks like?

Getting a tatoo should be a well considered decision - that symbol will be with you forever. As you're looking at designs think about what will still be meaningful and give you joy when you're 80. The placement you've chosen is good as the skin there doesn't sag as badly as other areas when you get older.

Now onto the symbolism - usually just a circle if we're talking geometrics, but I suspect you're thinking of something more elaborate. You could do the image of earth as seen from space stylized - kind of a "think globally" motif.

Whatever you do - take your time and look around. Any image can become a tatoo with a good artist (i.e. it need not be an existing tatoo design). Once you find something you like wait at least a month and look at it again. If you find you're still really pulled toward that image - it's probably a good choice. Normally I suggest thinking on potential tatoos for a year (this was the advice given me by my tatoo artist and I've always been grateful he told me that).

a green circle is the basic symbol for earth in the elemental pentacal. and when making the magic circle. a good tatooist will have a book of designs for those that want macical designs put on there body. It is or was a big part of their business.
You will Have to think about what sect of wica you want as some of the patterns differ by region.
You could also use the world tree pattern. as a showing of the link between the earth and the heavens.
