Unfortunately, the only real help here for you would be patience.
Have you tried contacting supportgroups in your area? You can contact life-lines (telephone help lines) which will be able to recommend you to some support facilities, otherwise, go to your local community centre- there are bound to be support groups, you just don't often hear of them. Also, go to your local doctor and explain your problem- they should have PLENTY of contacts or would be able to work on finding some for you.
Work on things one day at a time and don't rush, understand that he is probably equally as frustrated with his illness as you are- try to take the pressure off by engaging in activities which don't focus on his disability... sit down and try to write up a list of things you can both do together or some things which you can eliminate from your lifestyle that make things harder for you.
I'm almost certain that if you look in the right places there WILL be support groups around- just think, there are hundreds of others in the same situation as you, likely seeking the same guidance.
You can also reach out to services where there are nurses available to come and help you out during the daytime- this can take a lot of pressure off-- if you go to your local doctor, they should be able to help you find someone.
As I said, check out your local community centre, doctors and/or call up a counseling telephone service, they should put you in the right direction.
Good luck with everything.

Mentally retarded pple are obviously psychiatric patient.
U didn't tell where u live. Search on net for a rehabilitation centre near to ur place, where u can frequently visit.
Or else, u have to keep staff specially trained in this kind.
U can find some by advertising on newspaper dailies.

the way you spell centre i assume you are not in united states, but try recommended facilites in your area. if you were in the USA, there are a great many groups here: Johns Hopskins, and many locals in many cities. maybe http://www.cdc.gov can help or type psychiatric help in your browser.

Art -crayons, paint, whatever is developmentally appropriate. If you do it together, it can be fun and strengthen your bond, which may help make life a little easier.
